One of the Best Classic shows in the Country in a beautiful location.
Yet suprisingly rather often poorly supported by this Club apart from a Few Local Stalwarts :duh: :D:D .

If we get another Stand ... its £10 per car ( driver and One other ? ) , & we would need a min of 5 cars for the smaller size stand .

Sorry no camping this Year for a single day meet.

Our Other option is to Throw our Lot in with the South West MG Rover Club , who always put on a great Show. as we ahave no banners or what ever to put up . :eek:.

I can highly recommend this show, lots to see and do as well as the cars lots of other trade stands as well.

It is a great day out for all the family.

Paying up , well if we actually get anyone apart from me and Nev .. is end of May .. to get time to pay the organisers .




and 5 is the minimum !! for a Small area ( 5 x cars) ..

and I will and Nev if hes happy to as well , join forces with the Southwest MG OC on Facebook and pay them the fee to use their Patch .


But it wil lbe a shame not to represent this Club!!!

This is a fabulous show, stunning castle with gorgeous backdrops. All marques to see, from classics to supercars, its a great day out.

You can pencil us in, we will try and make it this year. :}

I've watched Blue Peter before, we can make some banners using a coat hanger, a glue stick and some crepe paper. :D

I got a MG tee shirt I'll stick on a pole !! :D or all my MG kit on a washing line :duh:

Regarding flags, I have a 5ft x 3ft MG flag, but nothing to hang it from. :getmecoat:

Wonder if I can borrow summat poleish from Work ... will have a looksee next week .

I have a St Georges flag, but no flag pole.

Struggling to find a suitable pole ... all the ones at work are 25 ft ish and are about 3 inch at the base .. far too big to transport .. got Our little gazebo maybe use that to hang something on ;)..

The South West MG club on Facebook .... who will be next door to Us have a couple of drop outs for Sherborne



So If you are very quick you may get a late Ticket !

We will meeting up at my place DT95EP jsut after 8am to get in the show before 9 and setup ..


Might have to scamper home to see it coming home !! ;)

I wonder if a screen will be set up at Sherborne Castle to show the football. Powderham Castle set a up a screen by the bar area last Saturday whwm England were playing.

A whole flag and a Gazebo :eek:

I have one of those 30ft x 10ft marquees, cheap and flimsy thing. It looks impressive but one gust of wind and it turns into a giant kite. :D

I reckon the flag I have will be pretty useless without a pole, it has the two rivet rings top and bottom on one side, the flag will just sag. :shrug:

String will prevail :D

Starting at 4pm on the show site and running with catering service until the end of the game..

Just like to say a big thank to Ceedy (Chris) for organising another great meet today.

Sherborne Castle ia a great show as in previous years, unfortunately there were not many of us there today from the club, but is was a brilliant day and it was nice to catch up with Ceedy, Dorset Bob, Ross and Lorenzo with his pristine Fiat 500.

I will post up some photos later.

I have to echo the above post from Clyde, and well done to Chris for setting it up. :bowdown:

Great photos Clyde, glad you all had a good time.

I'm so sad that we couldn't make it, I'm going to make sure we attend next year... it will be my mission. :D

We will have to get some proper banners for next year, and get more people on board.

The Athelhampton House MG meet is in a few weeks (12th August), is anyone going?

It was a great day at Sherborne, I will be taking my 190 next year!!

Athelhampton House sounds like a possibility. I should have my car back on the road, by then.
