Sponsored by MJS Auto & Marine http://www.mjsautoandmarine.co.uk/ FUTURE DATES IN 2014. April 20th. May 18th Welcome to MG-ROVER-South East,we have been doing this event for around three years and have steadily built it into the biggest regular MG-Rover South East meet, there have been some changes of venue along the way, but at Brentwood it has worked best and continues to be the regular meet venue. We meet up around the 3rd Sunday of the Month, but sometimes due to other popular events this is changed by a week either side. The Halfway House in Brentwood, has easy access from the M25/A127 to Southend,it has a large car park of which we use the back near the play area, serves meals and drinks and has all the facilities we could use ABOUT THE MEET We arrive as the designated time which is about Noon so that we can make a day of it and avoid the dark nights that we get in the winter months. After looking at Members Cars we take a few pics and weather permiting we stay outside to greet anyone who has yet to arrive, were not hard to find as we all park together in the Venue Car Park. The current Meet Reps are FastAlan,Paul Woodham or Dave Beale, so keep an eye out. These Meets are Family Friendly and we welcome anyone to participate. There are a good handful of us from all over the London, Kent and Essex areas but we gladly welcome more, if you know any other Members on other forums near the Meet or Friends who own an MG-ROVER then SPREAD THE WORD and post up Topics on your respective owners Club Web-sites. Tomorrow the shouild be 5 comeing along in 200 coupes including myself, hope that is ok the thought I had better warn you. Five coupes in one place is quit a rare site. List bellow. 1. Always next to time |
I've been attending the Halfway House meets since September 2010 on regular basis. I've been there in the heat, rain and snow. The meet is very established now with an ever growing following.
I like to attend other meets in other area's and sometimes they clash with the Halfway House. That cannot be helped, and yes I'm going to miss a rare treat. But there is always another time I may see these 5 Coupes, or more, at another meet. On the first Saturday of every month there is a Rover SDi meet at The British Queen PH in High Street Meldreth Cambs and I've seen some rare Rovers there as well, I go whenever I can. So enjoy yourself in the sun. |
Looks like it's going to be a nice meet, and my first too :)

A lovely sunny Sunday. Glad I went (although I had to leave early!) and being my first time attending any MGR event was imoressed at the turnout and the people I met (and the cars I saw)... Will go again, definitely...
Some pics: My car a safe distance from the more impressive cars on show! (But she looked OK - however the 'bullet-riddled' windscreen - ;) lol and cloudy headlights need attention!) http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...psa5d261a9.jpg A nice brace of CDTi's: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...ps0a4d7c4e.jpg A smart Streetwise (with BRM in background) http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...ps5915d727.jpg A very yellow ZS: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...ps1f879fe7.jpg And I was able to snap the car again while it was still relatively clean! http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...ps2a5c1247.jpg |
