Cheers Jon,

I guess I am really in it for the long haul now :getmecoat: I’ve still got my superpowers to move threads though and this one is moving down the hall from technical help to the General section :noel:

Hi Paul.
Congratulations on becoming a board director well deserved, does this mean new director new ideas, new plans, for the forward looking future of the club, now we have 6 pairs of ears to listen to the members, owners.

As usually when new directors come on board of a business it is so changes can be implemented for the better of that business.

Reebs 22nd December 2018 04:16

Hi Steve,

Well I’m not about to reinvent the wheel, but as you know I’ve been on the boards at the ‘coal face’ as it were for nearly nine years as a moderator and later Admin so have a fair idea of how things tick and the direction that some members would like the club to go in.

I’ve always wanted the club to thrive and survive, it’s essential for us all if we are to keep these cars alive. I hope with this new appointment, I’m better placed to see that both objectives are fulfilled going forward.

Onward and upward for all us 75 & ZT owners.

Yeah, he's taking over from Actros's car park marshalling duties at various meets :icon_lol:

COLVERT 22nd December 2018 18:29

Just curious, but are the new directors toilet facilities any better ??

Special key and all that-----------:icon_lol:

75v6 22nd December 2018 22:29

Well deserved - always been helpful to me in the past...hopefully will continue with the same 'humility' despite the grand title :-)
Cheers,
Chris

Kevin Williams 23rd December 2018 15:02

Congratulations Paul,
Well deserved.

You've now got to fill in the R188a form for Companies House amongst all the extra duties! Not forgetting all the new ideas coming forward like special discounts for Lagoon owners [and that's without thinking which berth the yacht is going with all the share options now on offer]!!! A few more variants needed to complete the full set...

Of course I'm only kidding, a nice Christmas present.

Good luck, best wishes and Merry Christmas

Kevin

Club Director - and Happy New Year!

Many congratulations, Paul - a tribute to the huge amount of hard work you put in to the day-day running of this club.

And many thanks of course to Pete and Christopher.

As my own car reaches, 20 years on the road in April 2019, I am only too keenly aware that the knowledge and support of the club is going to be more and more vital if I am going to maintain her as my 'daily runner'.

Many thanks again and a very Happy New Year to everyone😊.

All the best, Nicholas/Zircon

I was tempted to post about this earlier too as it was also the case at a place I once worked at. The women got the soft loo rolls too but not the working guys on the shop floor.

:smilie_re: And well done to Reebs too. Henley's Invictus I suspect will still come in handy at times being a bible that is common to both mods and admins. Lol.

Well done Paul on serving your apprenticeship through to the end. It was about time your hard and generous work was met with approval by the gods. Keep up the good work, and all the best for the future.
