Decent weather
So spent a couple of hours cleaning the Cat, and plan to do the ZT tomorrow
Not too bad for a couple of hours work, washed, clayed and it needed doing, polished and then a coat of wax to finish https://i.imgur.com/s3JW4i1.jpg?1 Stu |
Up to your usual standards I see .
It's nice to have a little bit of spring weather for a change. Finally managed to complete a light machine polish of my V6 today. Just got all the detailing to do now :}. Cliff |

Just seen it, and Know what you mean, but I am disappointed, as wanted to do the Blue ZT today, but weather is constant rain, so will have to wait until the weekend,, and that will be the last detail of the car, before it goes to its new owner then will have to do the newish car that I am getting towards the end of the Month, and will post up some pictures when I have given it the first clean Stu |
This weather is so frustrating. I started the machine polish on Saturday, and had to wait 'till today to finish. Looking at the forecast, I may have to wait until Thursday now before I can continue on with the rest.
Such a shame you had to sell the ZT, the new owner has got themselves a very special car. Having said that though, I've now doubt you'll enjoy the replacement just as much, and I look forward to seeing how it progresses once you get your hands on it :}. Cliff |
Yesterday it was a lovely day and I managed to polish most of my project car then this morning it was back to the midst of winter weather so I got noth8ng done.
Roll on the end of the month then it should be nice. |
Decent Wether
Since it was quiet dry, I took the Jag to my friendly mechanic, turbo Dave, and he fitted my new recently refurbished Callipers, disks and new EBC green stuff pads to the front and new disks and pads to the rear, and did it in about 3/4 hour, and very happy with the results, but the car got dirty, as it is a bit muddy having to go down to his place, so that means will have to give it a clean again tomorrow
Changed disks from the standard 326mm and upgraded to 355mm disks and the stopping power is considerably better So tomorrow, need to clean the ZT and the Jag Stu |
Got the ZT Cleaned
Well spent a few hours cleaning Blue Moon, washed, dried, clayed, and then given a nice coat of Topaz Polish, and tomorrow will give it a coat of wax ready for the new owner to collect on Wednesday

Decent Weather
Well the ZT has had its last coat of wax that it will get from me, and hopefully new owner will cherish the car.
But onwards and upwards, as I am going down to Coventry early on Friday morning to collect the newer car that I am purchasing, and that will get the full detailing it deserves, once it is back on my drive, and in the Man Cave, and then over the next few weeks, will get a full and comprehensive detailing If I get the chance post up some picture of the before and after treatment on the newer car Stu PS a small clue to the newer car is that it has the letter 'B' in it |
It looks stunning Stuart, I'll bet the new owner will be well pleased.
I think the new car could be an MGB GT. Blackrose |

Thanks, and good guess :D:D:D:D Stu |
Good guess, but right or wrong?
Blackrose |

I would love an MGB Roadster, but sadly not an MGB Another letter for today is: N so you have B and N so far Stu |
BeNtley. I new I'd get it.

Bugatti VeyroN:eek:

Sadly not a Bugatti, could not afford the tyres (£30k for a setoff 4) never mind the car So todays letter is:O so that know means you have B N O Stu |

To big to fit in the Man Cave, but would dearly love to have a Continental GT Stu |
Bond Bug?
|
Scott
That is a really good guess, and sort of and not too dissimilar in a sort of way Stu |
Reliant Robin:getmecoat:
|
Got to be Snetty and I'm sure I saw a Reliant Robin buyers guide in the back of Stu's car at a previous meet. It will also fit in the man cave.
Wonder what color it is. Blacrose |
Cushty
Yup. Reliant Robin. No doubt.
But will it have the Trotter livery? https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/...trip=all&w=960 |

Love your humour, and as I mentioned will post up pictures of the new Jalopie when I bring it back to the Man Cave on Friday, and it is going to be a long round trip to collect the newer car, to Coventry and then a long slow drive back, hopefully will get decent mileage in the three wheeler, but could possibly be a 4 wheeled version :D:D:D:D
Stu and lastly very sad day as Blue Moon has now been collected by new Owner and really hope that they get as much enjoyment from it as I had, To see it driving away was a very sad moment. Will wait until new owner posts up so that you know who it is |
Guess the Car
and today letter is: L so that know means you have B N O L and last letter will be posted tonight, and then Friday collect car Stu[/QUOTE] |
Noble? An m12 perhaps?

So far we have had a mixture between a Bond Bug, A Bentley and a Reliant Robin and a Bugatti And thanks for guessing But all will be revealed tomorrow Stu |
I'm looking forward to seeing your Reliant Robin. Don't buff it to hard or you will tip it over!
I'd rather have a Lotus Talbot Sunbeam https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...980_2172cc.JPG I'm sure you were sorry to see the blue one go. I hope its new owner cherishes it as much as you did. |
Lamborghini ??:D
|
Sorry but not a Lambo, and not a lover of those Italian Stallions, and they cost more to service that the cost of buying a decent MG ZT or Rover 75
All will be revealed hopefully by this time tomorrow, when I get back after a very long slow drive Also hope to catch up soon Regards Stu |
Well if service costs are a consideration which they will be now you're retired then it is the Reliant, the clue is in the "slow drive" back.
We returned home safely in Blue Moon and thanks once again for such a wonderful car, I can't believe this wasn't snapped up sooner. From popping in to buy a spare caliper and coming away with a ZT was a bit of a shock to the system. Carole loves it although getting used to gears again is a bit weird, these autos do make you lazy. Good luck on Friday and should you break down on the way back don't hesitate to ring. Blackrose |

Thanks for that and really hope that you and Carole enjoy Blue Moon, it is a brilliant car, and has been maintained with no expense spared. If it needed anything then it would get it, and it was service every year without fail, and I think I ended up doing around 3000 miles in 7 years, as I had four cars, and Blue moon was only ever used for show during the first three months from April and then I used Gruple for the next 3 Months. Stu PS, also forgot to give you a very small present to go with the car, so when we catch up next, I will ensure that I pass it onto you, it is a model of the car in trophy Blue PPS, and also had the chance and space today to take Gruple out of man Cave, and give it a wash and polish, then put it back in Man Cave |

You will have to tell as running up to West Auckland tomorrow stopping at Wetherby at around 7.30am first then off to the box factory in Auckland. What am I looking for:D |
Quote:
one last clue is that I am going to call the car the Batmobile Stu |
I think that will be referring to when Del and Rodney dressed up as Batman and Robin and used the Reliant as there Batmobile. I knew we were right. You're not dressing up are you Stu?
Take a tent with you in case you need to overnight en route. Blackrose |
Decent Weather
Just got back after 10 hrs 50 minutes of travelling, and was rather windy coming back, especially when your foot is nearly flat to the floor, and everything passing you
But well worth the trip having a coffee and will then go out and give the car a quick wipe over, and take some photo's of the Robin Bond Reliant Bug as you have mentioned :D:D:D:D:D:D Stu |
Decent Wether
Well here is the so called Bond Bug, sat on my drive after a quick wash

The detailing should be a doddle: only half the number of door shuts to sort, and no roof to polish :D:getmecoat:.
Seriously though, that's one stunning car, I can see why you were tempted :drool4:. Cliff |

Batman and Robin
As far as Reliant Robins go, Stu's new car is a pretty upmarket one. Someone's fitted an extra wheel too.
Very nice. I'm not a bit jealous:drool4: |
Much prefer two jags Stu to two Jags Prescott

sticking with current forum username (Fusilier), and looking forward to May, as Durham MG Show, and then the week after Elsham Stu |
Decent Weather
I have spent the last two days in the Man Cave, and have clayed, machine polished, then a coat of Topaz polish, followed by a coat of Glaze, then sealed, and finally a coat of Megs Gold Class paste wax, and cover has been put over the Cat.
Have also taken off two wheels, and given them a clean, and they were filthy on the inside and had a hard time scrubbing them, but they have come up ok, just need to do the other two and am totally whacked, so going for a rest :duh::getmecoat: https://i.imgur.com/mDom9U5.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/nIRJl9U.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/7bktrgd.jpg?1 and new addition on the wing Stu |
That must be a pretty deep man cave Stu getting all those lovely cars inside.
Hope the weather improves to allow you to get some wind about your hair. |

Decent size man Cave, now got the two soft tops in, and enough space to walk around them. The Man Cave is 18.2' x 18.10', which is a decent size for a modern house https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...24&postcount=1 and really do hope that the weather picks up, so I can use them. Stu |
