There is a full English breakfast with tea/coffee on both Saturday & Sunday mornings 10.00 am for around £5 but we need to get the numbers 15 minimum for the £5 cost less than 15 then the breakfast will cost £6.50, therefore if you are coming please state if you would like breakfast, saturday or both days, there is also a Saturday evening meal if you wanted to join in the social part the Saturday evening.

As always there will be advice & help for those jobs you would like to tackle and have not got round to, we also have free T4 sessions sometimes we have two T4 which helps cut down the waiting time.

I will be carrying the usual free plenum spy hole mod trays, intercooler bends with added Viton O-rings, Viton coolant cap O-rings etc.

Is the loom already in the car? Do you just need all the bits plugging in? If so easy enough, takes about half an hour :)

Any handbrake compensators at this meet? Moonstone V6 has had shoes and cables adjusted but still pulls up very high!
Worked great on Copperleaf, passed MOT with no advisories, thanks.

Stopped on the Four Ashes just turned 6 this morning (Thursday) and the field looks good. Grass is short and just a few Molehills and the ground is firm under foot. So looking good

I Derek
Thank you for your quick recce of the nano field, from your description it look like the moles have not been to busy, so only a couple of rakes / shovels would be needed, if at all, see you guys 48 hours or so.

Some owners will be camping Friday evening also caravan parking I will be there around 16.30pm to help erect the tents etc.

Dawn 10th May 2018 08:02

My black car is full of water gain, despite sunroof mod, I am not sure yet if I can make Saturday, is it something you could check if I do? I'm told the drains sometimes come off at the top, but I daren't touch near there because of pillar airbags. :( Fed up of it now. :(

HI Dawn.
It is not something I could take a look at on Saturday as i am fairly busy, i am sure someone would be able to help though, i should imagine if the drain tube had come adrift at the sun roof end you would have roof lining wet as well.

Dawn 10th May 2018 09:11

OKay, I'll order some scuttle clips and try that. I hope its not the screen - that leaked on the 1.8 as well as scuttle. :(

Arctic 12th May 2018 22:07

Saturday meet was great I counted 32 cars at one stage, fans fitted, vis motors repaired and replace thank's to Mr Dave (stocktake) vortex filter fitted, several SCC, several head lights cleaned & polished AndyNo1, intercooler pipes fitted, plenums, radios fitted jubs, and lots more the meets seem to be getting bigger :D don't forget all owners are welcome, see some of you tomorrow cheers Arctic ;)

kev-rev180 13th May 2018 01:30

Great meet yesterday ,nice to catch up with people, thanks missus chris for keeping me filled up with tea all day, and a big thanks to arctic for that hand brake mod that he dose

Brunty 13th May 2018 07:04

Great day out, but best of all we drove back in a completely different car! Both VIS motors replaced and stuck flap freed up just could not believe how the V6 can perform even the autobox seems to change gear better. Thanks Dave.
Plenum spy hole done and bonnet catch, even got under the bonnet cleaned up.
See you all at next nano.

derek v 13th May 2018 13:53

what an fantastic weekend. Thanks to Chris and Pam two wonderful people and thanks to Chris for showing me how to remove and refit bumpers. Steve Artic for the tip to fix my 1.8. All in all a great weekend. Roll on the next one

Bogbrush82 13th May 2018 14:13

Really enjoyed myself yesterday. Being out in the fresh air after spending 2 months indoors did me the world of good. Roll on June! :}

STUBIE 13th May 2018 15:28

Although I had my name down for this one due to the wifes car packing I could not get away. Although I have managed to replace my fan and get my rust nuts of the air intake by removing the slam panel.

Hopefully the next one.

Stubs

Lovely and sunny today, and my sunroof leak has been attacked once again! The old boy should be dry now thank to super chip! :) Almost had a disaster after as my bonnet wouldn't open, but soon sorted and fixed by the lads. As always, many thanks!

Here's my soggy old fella drying out a bit in the sun! :)

Arctic 13th May 2018 20:12

Well what can I say that is the May meet over, what a great turnout both Saturday & Sunday, quite a few new owners this weekend which is nice it means we are doing something right :D

Big thank you to Mark for bring the nano tent, more so in the fact his wife is just getting over a knee op which she needs help to get over :thumb: top man.

Fantastic to have Mr Vis on site also, i know a few members and owners have gone home this weekend with a giant smile on their faces when traveling back, finding out how those V6 engines should run with working Vis motors  Dave.

Nice to work along side Richard on his car fitting a new condenser, fan, vortex PCV, it helps the members get to know their own cars, thank you also to Les for helping Ian on his fan next to us, Chris & Pam for keeping watch on the plenum bag, & the left and right nano ramps, which came in quite handy so they will also make another appearance at the next meet

Thank you to Chris (superchip for sorting out Dawn's sun roof drains, we have decide it is not a good idea to use those nozzles from bath seal tubes etc, as it seems even if they do have a jubilee clip they can get pushed out if the ducks bill as not been cut off.

Thank you to all the crew who once again turned up to help at the meet as always, and last but not least all the owners & members whom attend to get help and enjoy a good day out see you all in June :thumb: Arctic.

Dawn 13th May 2018 21:08

I took a few photos but smashed my phone as I got out the car on my drive! Will try and get them in the Nano gallery tomorrow. There were some gorgeous cars today, but even the V8's were shadowed for me my John/Mischief's celestial. Wow, that colour totally drew me in! A stunning colour!

Steve - I like your back lights! They don't look the standard upgrades out there? :)

Swordy 13th May 2018 21:15

Thank you for all the help

Thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome today, always well worth the drive from Essex. Thanks to John who help with the door actuator and
Massive thanks to Steve (Arctic) for all your help and everyone who stayed to help with the drama of the rear light unit. The fix was superb in the end.
Great to be around true enthusiasts.

Had a clear drive home so was back for 6, the tip to turn left and head straight for the M6 saved me loads of time.
Cheers
Paul

victorgte 13th May 2018 21:29

Thanks to all who helped me fit the condenser and fan. Regass is tomorrow so we’ll see if all that effort has been worth it. Learned plenty as well which is always useful. Then on Tuesday I’ll fit my DD unit.

Dawn 13th May 2018 21:34

Victor, were you the one Chris was helping as well as me? I love to put forum names to faces, although I don't always remember!

HI Steve.
Yes we may have caught the ECU drowning in time, still keep an eye out for any unusual effects going on with the car as it may have got a bit of a soaking with the water sloshing in about in the plenum, I will contact you about Thursday evening or Friday afternoon about what we talked about at the nano and your days off ;) cheers Arctic

stocktake 15th May 2018 19:36

Actually saw this one on the day, a very lucky escape that as Steve says may develop problems later, needs to be monitored. Tide mark was well up the pollen filter.

Brunty 15th May 2018 20:02

Thanks for fixing the VIS motors on Moonstone, total transformation!

Went in today for change of auto box fluid, garage changed 3 litres, said the stuff that came out was black, 123,000 miles and nothing in history to show it had been done before. Customer recommendation bring it back in 2 weeks time to do the same again.
Made a real difference to the changes. Will take it back in a couple of weeks, but cost £162.30 to change 3 litres? NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- expensive job. Did it need a diagnostic check @ £40.00 + vat to do this job?

stocktake 15th May 2018 20:55

A diagnostic check should have shown the historic fault codes of the failed VIS motors before I fixed them, did they mention it? If not then they haven't done a full diagnostics.
