here's a couple pics of my two. Really miss taking these two out to meets and shows. Didn't get to do a single show or meet last year, last one redfive attended was in 2019 the day after I bought her from Bob, and the typhoon has hardly been used since it was displayed at the NEC classic car show in November 2019.
Last year the typhoon came out the garage 3 times, once whilst working on it prepping it for it's mot, once to drive it to it's MOT appointment and back and once on a day trip to Southend when we were allowed out briefly. Since Feb 2019 it's only done 2k miles in the last 2 years. Hopefully some meets can happen in the 2nd half of this year. As we haven't seen each other's cars for so long, and everyone very rarely seems to post pics of their cars on here in recent years, let's see some pics of your pride and joy. Back when I joined here in 2012 the general forum used to be booming with pics of members' cars and what they were doing with them. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...5394eac1_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...d6e8fcf2_b.jpg and my dad's 75. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7865/...fda6a7f2_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7809/...5df3b1b2_b.jpg |

Here’s my 2002 Connoisseur that I bought just over 5 months ago as my first car when I was 17. Not the finest example of a 75 but by no means the worst and I love it to bits. I’ve got some new number plates to fit and I’m going for a ride out tomorrow to pick up some crown alloys.

These really are fantastic cars. Very nice to see all the photos. I'm usually looking at photos on the forum to double check how to mod the bonnet release box etc but the styling of these cars is, for me, one of the reasons why they're so special! Proud to be a member of the forum.

Hope this has worked.
Soooo many lovely cars. I'm sulking.I've started cruising round Ebay and wondering if I just buy another. I won't. I know the HPFP is new, the clutch and cylinders have done only a few thousand, all the brake lines less than 1500 miles ago. new discs, wheel bearing, hydramount etc. Particularly annoyed as, having fixed the front end (thanks Marinabrian for tip about Silverllight bumper) I've managed to catch a low bollard and scratched /dented the nearside sill whole length, even the chrome beauty strip has a small kink. I'll get that fixed when summer comes when I'll also get the, now spare, bumper re-sprayed, swop over the nice new fogs, fit new indicators and the nice shiny headlamps due to arrive from Rick-sta. Need to do that handbrake job when weather warms up, I'll re-visit Artic's "How To". JohnnyBG PS That's not my North Yorkshire house, it's one in Scotland. |

I thought it'd be raven black, my dad's first 75 was that colour and had lovely depth to the black. His current one is pearl black and although is still a lovely colour and is nice when you can see the purple in it, it just doesn't have the depth of raven black. Ah glad to hear that, thank you :) |
Hi Rick , yes I did have 19s on and then serpents and moved to vikings as they are rare , also fitted the premium bumper since I first had it , and so many mods I can’t remember some of them !
The car still looks good but not as good as it once was on close inspection but it does have 196k on the clock and it’s rarely missed a beat so not complaining |

V936 is another Launch Car built a fortnight later and is known as ‘Mouldy’ due to the state of the interior when purchased due to the sunroof drains. All dried out and sorted now. ^^^ That's impressive   Lots of intricate work in taking the door cards apart, several even coats of paint, reassembly + all that and more for the carpet.
The overall effect is extremely bold, but looks really well against the Caledonian exterior and dash (never thought I could say that about Lilac anything inside a Rover 75 / MG ZT)!! Cheers, Karl. |
