Well it was used in The Queens Address and is quite appropriate.

trikey 8th April 2020 14:53

Are you sure it’ll be a sunny day Brian? The law of the s0d says that when we are all allowed out it will be monsoon season.

Simondi 8th April 2020 18:10

I doubt there are any left now. If there ever were any. After reading Simondi’s post, what a slow reaction from me. Twighead.

Don't even suggest that! I have had a Guinness and am nicely settled for the evening.

Raven Black 8th April 2020 20:12

Hi

What a lot you are, can't wait till we can meet again, Dame Vera got it so right and, amazingly, she is still with us.

Talking of Bluebirds the reason that Cardiff City are known as the Bluebirds -:

The play The Bluebird of Happiness by Belgian writer Maurice Maeterlinck had proved hugely popular and was performed at Cardiff’s New Theatre in October 1911 to rave reviews.

It is believed a Cardiff supporter caught up in the hype christened his club with the name in their new blue strip.

So there you are you don't really need real Bluebirds.

reworht 9th April 2020 12:14

I believe "We'll meet again" was actually a corruption of a song about the strange meats which became prevalent during the rationing years -
"Whale meat - again?"
