Can I confirm Fred's recent journeys?

Hi everyone.

Can I confirm Fred's recent journeys?

ColinB / Grey Ghost - EMS Open Day - 14th of July 2007

Neil Coupland - Nottingham - 9th August 2007

Timbop6 - Spain  - 8th September to 15th September

Have I missed any?

Timbop6, confirm Fred is still with you now?

Where is Fred off to next??

Neil Coupland 18th September 2007 20:31

Hi Rich

That seems correct, Fred was with us from the Gaydon team meeting until I took him to Doncaster to Timbop6.

I believe that Timbop6 is taking Fred to Holker Hall in readiness for his next adventure:lol:

GreyGhost 18th September 2007 20:32

I've not had him, I was trapped on the M25 on EMS open day. :( I still haven't fully recovered.) :D
BTW Tim is still having a little difficulty with Pics. Should be resolved soon.:)

ColinB 18th September 2007 22:03

I passed him on to kandyman at the EMS open day as GG didn't make it.

Did you get the photos for the map?

ColinB

Timbo.P6 18th September 2007 23:24

I'm sure it wasn't deliberate, I'm in the list and never even arrived at EMS. ;)

JohnDotCom 8th October 2007 19:59

Its just your presence GG, ever felt, as if you are always there. :D

Timbo.P6 27th October 2007 19:50

Whats Fred been up to recently

GreyGhost 27th October 2007 20:29

Last I heard he was in sunny Scunny with Actros.

Come back Fred all is forgiven :)

JohnDotCom 27th October 2007 22:48

I know someone wants to take him on duty/patrol to the Falklands very soon.

GreyGhost 29th October 2007 14:59

Great Brian, we'll have a chat later in the week and make an arrangement. Bit tied up right now. :) Glad to hear the little fellow has been behaving himself.

Timbo.P6 30th October 2007 13:16

so he,ll be off on his travels again soon

Tom Collins 2nd November 2007 10:32

Does Fred have any plans? If not, then Actros could pass him on to me on the 17th. I'm off to Riga in a few weeks time, I'm sure he'd like a pre Christmas jaunt to the Baltics. :)

Not a problem for me Bri, please hand Fred on to someone at your Yorks meet. I was only going to take him if there was a lack of interest. I'm sure he'll have much more fun with Tom (Collit and family in foreign) Just make sure he has a clean set of chaddies for the journey. :)

Tom Collins 2nd November 2007 11:55

Great, I'm sure Fred will enjoy his stay with us. My kids have lots of furry friends for him to play with.

Thanks GG, see you on the 17th Brian.

Gryphon 2nd November 2007 12:32

I thought Fred was going to the Falklands very soon

JohnDotCom 2nd November 2007 13:55

Yes I thought that was booked to for a Tour of duty in the Falklands,
GG, Christopher or any of team has it been confirmed Please?

Tom Collins 2nd November 2007 14:03

Ah yes, I remember mention of that too. Maybe I'll get him next time then.:envy::angel2:

GreyGhost 2nd November 2007 14:33

Fred was to be handed from one person to the next when he started on his journeys with a maximum stay of 2 weeks in any one persons company, pre booking is probably not a good idea in my view as it will lead to problems with logistics.
My vote would be for Actros to hand him on at the earliest opportunity to a willing party, if at the right time and place to ship out to the Falklands, all well and good if not then so be it. He has already been held up more than once which is against the rules set up in the first instance. I appreciate rules can be broken when necessary providing they do not prevent his travels continuing.
His travels were to be all by chance and not contrived, pre booking will inevitably cause him to be stopped for long periods.

Kandyman instigated the concept, set the rules and provided the bear so personally I think the final decision as to whether that continues or should be changed lie with him.
My 2d's worth.

JohnDotCom 2nd November 2007 17:21

I think "booked" may have been me slightly misleading, sorry.
I think Collit should have him as no firm arrangements were made.

......He can always go to Iraq later. :D

Hi Collit i will bring him to the yorks meet then you can take him to far off places.:clap:

ragitty 2nd November 2007 17:37

Well done collit, what could be better for "fred the ted" a visit the the home county of Lady Jane Grey and then a relaxing holiday in the baltics:bowdown:

Tom Collins 2nd November 2007 18:18

Yes Lee, where else do you suggest I take him? I have a few ideas in mind.

I'm sure Fred will enjoy Riga. The Latvian female bears are notoriously good looking!

Hope he's got more than just a T shirt to wear. Going to be down to -7 C next week.

Is he likely to visit the other Baltic countries?

I'm sure he'll be warm enough, he's got a fur coat as well as his T shirt.

Not sure about other Baltic countries this time. 2 years ago we went to Estonia. He would've liked that.

If nobody else wants him before Christmas, he'll be spending it in France with us.

If you decide to head south to Vilnius will be pleased to hear from you. Have a good trip!

Tom

Tom Collins 23rd November 2007 19:03

Haven't gone too far yet, but at least Fred sleeps cosy and warm.

I can't get Daniel to take that hat off. :D

Tom Collins 5th December 2007 13:55

Well Fred is off tomorrow morning bright and early to Riga. He's promised not to get into any trouble, to observe all local customs and respect all laws and beliefs. We all know what can happen when UK citizens get involved with bears abroad. :)

He's travelling light, as he only needs the bear essentials. :D

Pictures will be up Tuesday night.

ragitty 5th December 2007 14:18

Have a great holiday Tom, keep the bear under control, that local vino can play havock with the bears matabulism.:p:

JohnDotCom 5th December 2007 14:19

No Renaming him whilst abroad Please.
He would end up in a sealed Cabinet somewhere, like Mohamed Bear. :D
Have a Great Time and deserved Break.

JP53 5th December 2007 21:18

If you need anyone to help carry him around on your holiday (and he does look a VERY heavy bear) then I will be happy to do it. :D

Have a great holiday.

Kandyman 5th December 2007 21:33

Be good to see Fred on the move again :)

Tom Collins 11th December 2007 21:00

Well, we're back, had a fab time would recommend Riga to all. So much to see in this beautiful city, and I think Fred enjoyed it too.

First of all though, our hotel was not all it was cracked up to be.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...t/IMG_1510.jpg

Actually our hotel was fantastic. It's the yellow building in the center.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...t/IMG_1507.jpg

At our real hotel, Fred was able to relax with a good book at last.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...t/IMG_1482.jpg

They're behind you.

After a spot of bother, Fred throws himself on the mercy of the ambassador.

Kandyman 11th December 2007 21:04

GreyGhost 11th December 2007 21:06

JohnDotCom 11th December 2007 21:11

Tom Collins 11th December 2007 21:12

If somebody wants to take him off to some exotic location then great, if not he'll be coming to France with us a week on Sunday for Chistmas and New Year.

ragitty 11th December 2007 21:15

Welcome back Tom, great pics of your holiday looks a lovely location. hope you did not have any trouble getting fred back into the country.;)

Tom Collins 29th December 2007 13:26

Just to let you all know, Fred is having a wonderful time in France, having aquired a taste for Pernod and cheap French fags. Piccies to follow.

Kandyman 29th December 2007 13:40

Good to hear Fred is having a great time, hope to see some pictures of him soon.

Tom Collins 5th January 2008 15:26

Must of been foggy at the inlaws house as i can't see Fred in them ;)

The Bear 5th January 2008 16:45

Lot of Bears in the last shot.I hope Freds been good.

Departed 9th January 2008 19:18

I've a couple of Germany trips coming up next week and the week after. If he's near Stafford before then. Next week he could visit the home of Audi. Only trouble is I have to figure out how I can take a camera without breaking any rules.....

Tom Collins 9th January 2008 19:39

I'm passing him on to Gryphon via Raggity at the next Yorkshire meet a week on Saturday. Garry is taking him on honeymoon to thr Canaries.
Who knows after that.

ragitty 10th January 2008 14:16

Well tom he needs a re-couperation period, after you fed him all that booze and fags, self incriminating evidence in previous post :D

Tom Collins 10th January 2008 14:54

It's not my fault. I just don't know how he finds all the hidden booze while I'm at work. I get home and he's slaughtered, starting fights with other animals in the kids room, leaving honey footprints all over the floor.
I don't know, I'm a nervous wreck, and frankly I'll be glad to be rid of him.
