Just 23p off here too using BOX80.

bendrick 28th December 2019 10:59

I think that you'll find that its probably a Welsh assembly subsidy that is bringing it down to £7.45 for people living in Wales.

We don't have enough doctors and nurses but we do get free prescriptions, free hospital parking and apparently now heavily subsidised anti freeze.

Doesn't that mean that some lucky punter in Llandudno is about to receive an unexpected free mystery delivery of anti freeze?

Hi Kevin.
:xmas-smiley-008: no it will be coming to me ;) how it worked I don't know but when I payed for it I gave my address.

Falcon Flyer 28th December 2019 22:32

I can only get the better discount rate on the purple, and not the red OAT.....regardless of postcode!

ceedy 29th December 2019 07:53

I've tried loadsa postcodes and only get the 23p off

trikey 29th December 2019 10:01

It’s only discounted in Wales as they no Lordy needs it as the main ingredient for his cocktails 🤣

hinged_bap 30th December 2019 11:17

Slightly related ( price mismatching - when used in conjunction with OFFERS ). Whenever I order a DOMINO's pizza, I have to use an INTERNET EXPLORER browser and that usually always gets me a BOGOF pizza offer. Any other browser gets me their usual deal of the day ( which might be first one full price, second one half price - that sort of thing ).

WillyHeckaslike 30th December 2019 19:36

No thanks ecp ... I did not take the bait. Lol!

Odd Job 31st December 2019 07:43

What ever the discount you manage to get, lets hope the quality of the product is up to par.

I've not forgiven ECP for blue anti-freeze that turned to jelly in a sealed 5 litre tub.
Unfortunately I'd had it a year before I came to use it, but that shouldn't matter in a sealed container stored in my shed.

MarkS 31st December 2019 11:48

Perhaps it can't cope with freezing conditions ???? :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_confused::icon_confused: :laugh:

Any antifreeze concentrate is 95% ethylene glycol, which freezes solid at -12C. Left in an unheated shed in a cold winter, it will quite easily go gelatinous when it gets very cold. As it warms up in the Spring, it's back to normal.

Did you get rid of it or end up using it ??

The anti-freeze arrived safely & as been mixed already into three 5lt using some I had left over this will be used now for topping up at meets & services.

Bargain what not to like, Happy New Year everyone make it a good one. :xmas-smiley-035:

MarkS 4th January 2020 18:36

FWIW, went into ECP today, checked out Red OAT concentrate at £17.99/5L, I asked if they could do it for a better price, got offered £11.29.
So the moral is : ASK.

TC

It was during the summer I was needing it after replacing my radiator in my classic Mini.
But anti-freeze that goes into a gelatinous state when the temperature drops?
So, it sort of freezes? Doesn't sound very good to me.

I didn't feel confident in using it.
I took it my local recycling facility.

This is for long life 5 year fill?
It's a very good price.

DMGRS 7th January 2020 16:29

That's an excellent price!
I prefer the blue with a 2 year interval, but can't argue with that for OAT

vitesse 7th January 2020 17:08

Not anti-freeze but EuroCarParts: Received a mail today to inform me that the springs I ordered on the 26th of Dec are out of stock. Yep, it's taken them twelve days to find out they haven't got any and inform me. I daresay I'll get them at some time but pleased they were ordered as shelf spares rather than urgent.

Same as their sister, CarParts4less, ordered an exhaust, "got damaged in transit by DHL". In a rare statement DHL told me it wasn't them and the exhaust never actually left CarParts4less warehouse!

Same sort of "service" from MisterAuto, two weeks after placing an order was advised "no longer in stock" and on that occasion the parts were urgent - never used them again.

These outlets are great for special offers but if I want reliability then I'd choose DMGRS or Rimmer's.

Regards

Slaya 7th January 2020 19:29

Glad I saw this post, several ordered - will be needing some of this very soon.

Hopefully this lot will stay in the car and not end up on the A429 like my last lot..!

MarkS 7th January 2020 23:59

Now £7.34 with latest discount WINTER35
Get it while it's still at this price !
