Very very low mileage?

Just saw this one on Ebay, seems a nice vehicle and I don't doubt the qualities and the longevity of these cars, but to say that 92k is very, very low?

I agree, not very low at all

Below average maybe, but low mileage it most definitely isn't! What planet are they on  :duh::shrug:

Maybe he shares a planet with this seller, who reckons that the combination of a Tourer and the Diesel engine is “very rare”. Mind you, this one can claim a relatively low mileage (74k)

My 03 reg diesel saloon is in Nice condition and has just got to 62000 a couple of weeks ago. Mine is low mileage but there is a lot more out there with less than mine

92k hardly low. One of mine has done 52k but still has very rusty subframes but I;m hoping the body is perfect. Mechanics seemed 100% when I last drove it over a year ago, but it's since broken three springs while being parked up!

Rick-sta 25th April 2018 15:44

maybe he thinks it's in kms ;)

Just checked the picture of the dash and it's definitely 92k.

Only approximately 134k and it can join the moon club :getmecoat:

Typical salesman waffle! Make it up as they go along and hope someone falls for it.
I've got 195k on the clock so probably just run in according to him!

Heddy 25th April 2018 16:31

I just bought an 04 saloon for exactly half the price of that one. It's a Mk2 though so obviously worth half as much as the Mk1's. Oh, and mine has done 64k miles

I bet he would not say that, especially if you were trying to sell it to him!

Richard1973 25th April 2018 16:46

I wonder what he would describe as high mileage?!

He probably means you don't need to worry about the engine for another 200,000 miles!:D

Comfortably Numb 25th April 2018 21:48

PS Most of the diesels I have ever bought were over 100,000 at purchase, and I more than doubled them!
