I actually don't like the Silverstone classic so I'm ok :D

It might sound silly but a lot of newer members don't scroll down and assume all meets are within the area headings as they are on some other forums. It might be worth a Linky in east Anglia and the meet area that covers the next closest. :)

There is a Tesco in Royston about 20 mins away , thats where we met earlier in the year for a show at Duxford so will most likely do the same , dont know the post code but Iam sure someone will know it....

Meet time, go to the aerodrome time?

Do we all line up show style?

Can we trade or show there?

What time do we leave (is there a limit)

Certainly a great family place and if you havn't done the museum the kids will love it. Dont bother with the simulator ride , absolutely rubbish , a poor picture on a dodgy old projector a right rip off.

Hi Peter , If they use the same format as the May car show it will be gates open 9-915ish then you pay at the gate you then get directed to the 75 ZT pitch , not sure where that will be yet , line up show style , not sure about trading other than that its stay at the car or go walk about or both there is alot to see and hopefully flying....

In May afew of us met at the Tesco in Royston but I think that will be out of your way coming from March but if you want to thats great.

I had a word with the event planner last week and she said that they have a big air show this weekend and thats her priority right now but sometime next week she will focus on the the car show and start to tell clubs where there are on the day etc...she also said its the first time they have tried a car show on a Saturday and she will be very interested on how it goes down with the punters , as soon as I have more info I will let everyone know....

And the entry fees?
is it per person or per car?

Good question , in May it was £10 but I was on my own , I will find out next week for sure unfortunately the Duxford website does not make it clear...

We went there in the spring and I do know normal entry is UBER expensive as is food (take a picnic..!);)

We are coming up from romford

I assume you'll both be coming round the M25 and onto the M11. I'll be joining the M11 at the Woodford end. If meeting at the services, what time? Steve is getting to the gates around 9-9.15. So we would need to leave the services by 08.30. Allowing for traffic.

I have your banner all complete and with loops, i will PM you the price..;)

Please note that entry is £10 per person and that gates will open at 10am. Pitches will be allocated on the day and our parking marshals will direct your members to their pitches. Please also note that although we cannot guarantee you will be in your usual pitches we have tried as much as possible to do so

If you are planning to put up a gazebo or banner and have not already sent in your public liability insurance please could you send me a copy before next Thursday

I presume we turn in at the entrance at the far end, from the M11, and not the main entrance.

thats where i will be heading for bob.will leave it until just after ten.as we no the gates are not open until that time.saves the worry of getting rear ending whilst in line on the a505.:eek:

I have just had it confirmed by Duxford that it is the Entrance at the far end , the one used in for the classic car show in May they also said there will be plenty of signage....

I will bring a selection of dials with me if anyone wants some or to see them in the flesh before buying.... may even do a fitting service if we are able...;)

That would be good have been thinking may be doing something with my dials just not sure of a design , look forward to seeing them....

Oh! Good. Still have not fitted the rev counter dial on Redfive. I'll bring it in case you get a chance to re-fit please.
People can then see what mine look like. Had lots of positive comments about Banana's dials and the banner.

I want to change mine............at the moment they are standard. They light up an awful blue at night.........really in your face which is not good when driving.

is the blue on the facelift dials at night.........the LEDs......or a coloured filter that can be replaced ??? :shrug:

it is the LED's

but dependent on how Jordan's filters work I may be able to give you a yellow mask to turn them green or a red mask for purple...?

I may have a message centre petrol IPK with white led's on the way... you may just be able to swap the eeprom over.... do you have message centre now?

Yes it has message center. and its an auto..........if that makes a difference.

what i would like.........is orange....it match the buttons.
But reverse dials.....so the only bit that is orange is the numbers and lines..........rather than the entire display.

you do get a bit of bleed through with the inverse dials but the camera pics always amplify this with the CCD gathering all of the light...

your best bet would be to get a second hand MS IPK from a 75.... or if the one I have coming (white lights) is pukka I may swap the eeprom on mine and then I would have an orange one you can use and swap your eeprom on....


I will ask Brian / Phil if the BMW scanner is capable of swapping programs without the soldering job....

Apologies if I've missed where it says this but what time does it finish?

I need to be back in ESSEX around 6pm so I wondered whether leaving just before 5pm would be an issue. e.g, there being a rule about not being able to drive off with people walking around still etc etc.

Providing you don't run them over I cannot see an issue.

People were leaving left right and center all day last time..............cant see this time being any different.

I have left there at around 3pm before , as Championdaddy says people trickle out from about 3pm onwards

The pay booths will shut at 2pm after that you have to park with the riff raff !!:D so I was told today....

Hi guys, anybody whos going to Duxford tomorrow happen to have a spare v6 top rear cam belt back plate? Not the cover but the back plate? I need one for my other car.

One last call for tomorrow should be a good day , the pay booths are open until 2.00pm so come on you know you want to!!.....

Does anyone need a drivers side drive shaft? I have one refurbed by Shaftec.... as new... 35.00 (I think it is for a V6 or 8 as the centre joint is larger than on my CDT unless that's just part of the upgrade..?)
