https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...9494b215_o.jpg Announcing The Owners Club 2023 Summer National Meet on Sunday 27th August The Club's Summer National Meet will be held on Sunday 27th August 2023 (The day before the August bank holiday) at Wythall Transport Museum Chapel Lane Wythall Worcestershire B47 6JX Arrive at 10:00am Entry price free for driver and car, and £8.00 per passenger they carry. payable at the museum entry kiosk on the day The museum is home to over 90 buses. Midland Red, WMPTE blue and cream and the corporation fleets from Birmingham, Walsall, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton are all represented, plus local independent operators. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...9d30ca8d_c.jpg The transport museum is also home to the largest collection of battery electric road vehicles, including over 30 electric milk floats and bread vans from operators such as the Co-op, Midland Counties and Birmingham and Handsworth Dairies https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...b0de4edc_z.jpg HALL 1 - situated in front of the admission kiosk as you enter, shows how public transport enabled people to get out and about, plus plenty of insights into the operating and manufacturing sides of the industry. The final countdown is on for this Sunday's National Meet. Currently 32 cars and 39 people. Why not join us if you haven't been to a club meet before and admire some cherished 75s and ZTs in the flesh. We've got a couple of ZT V8s as well as a six door stretched limo amongst others. :driving:

Important Update
Just had a message from the museum about Sunday.
As it’s a bank holiday it’s an event day for them and they are displaying more buses than usual which is good news, we will all be able to take a ride in several of them on site too which is great, but it does mean that it will be busier than usual and space will be at a premium, so they have asked that we all arrive by 10am now not 11am with a view to all being parked up by 11am. Also, the entry fee has changed, it’s now free entry for the driver and his vehicle and £8 per passenger they carry, instead of the usual charge of £10. This weekend at the museum they will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the introduction of ‘kneeling buses’ for step free entry, that’s their theme for the event day. :cool: I will amend the arrival times and entry fee info on post #1 to reflect the changes Hopefully see you there. |

just one advisories and that was a track rod end slight play. how did the mg thank me . cable snapped on the back window and the alarm went off 5 times in the night . the normal bonnet switch playing up. so all been well we will se you all on Sunday. |

Great meet today, 32 cars turned out and amongst them a Monogram Aubergine ZT, Black Pearl ZTT 260, Ski Blue ZTT, Seafrost Blue 75 tourer, some lovely Trophy Blue ZTs, and all the way from Belgium, club member Eric Druyts in his pristine left hand drive British Racing Green 75 Diesel Connoisseur SE.
The winner of the Windrush Award for Best car in show went to elroy and his Rio Red ZTT. We also had a visit from Peter Morgan Production Director of the Rover 75 development and launch, the head honcho in overall charge of project managing the R40 car. Many of you will have seen him being interviewed on the double DVD documentary release of a couple of years ago The R40 Story :cool: Sadly I didn’t manage to take a single photo :duh: |

400 hundred mile round trip and Banana never missed a beat.
Great day out with lots of shining cars, nice to meet up with old and new members. Congratulations to Roy for scooping the Windrush award. And congratulations to Linda for winning the raffle. Many thanks for the kind words from those who have just got to actually see Banana up close. I’ll post up some photo’s over the next few days, it’s been a long weekend for Banana and me. |

Wonderful set of photos - captured the event perfectly. Such a shame it clashed with the Silverstone Classic (now renamed "Festival") which I had booked and paid for back in January! Mind you, I still had a great 3 days watching the classic racing and soaking up the atmosphere (and the heavy showers). 10,000 cars infield but only one ZT and not one 75.

The bus museum was an excellent location, although we ran out of time to look at everything, so may well pay it another visit in the future :} Thanks also to everyone that took photos, and to Dave for saving the Neptune seats ! :D Looking forward to the big one (25th) next year, let us know the date soon please :} |

Great meeting, great venue, thanks to everyone who organised it. My first meet, enjoyed it greatly.
Didn’t have a chance to meet everyone properly but enjoyed seeing so many great 75’s and ZT’s, some from so far away, in one place. Great photos. Looking forward to next year. |
Grood time had at my first national meet. Came home with a few ideas and a renewed drive to get some more stuff done to my ZT. Thanks to those that took the time to talk to me. I'm not great at conversation, so that meant a lot.

Arrived home following a fantastic long weekend spent at the Owners Club National Meet amongst other visits to places of interest.
May we add our sincere thanks to Reebs [Paul], his Family, Pete & including anyone who may have been involved with organising such a brilliant event set in a superb venue as was the Wythall Museum of Transport. Some pics to remind us of a lovely weekend spent in great company with long time Friends & hopefully some new ones, many thanks again to our organisers, the Management & Staff of the Museum & to the Members who attended making for a brilliant event, many thanks all.
