I was going to fit the new trim clips for the boot liner in the 1.8T but the rain has returned. Discovered one missing from the 260 and both missing from the 160 so ordered four from All Car Parts Fast, great service and cheaper than Rimmers but that isn't difficult!

You need to move Edinburgh a few miles further South Steve - it's dry, sunny and hot in Somerset (or Devon - still haven't worked out which county I'm in) - and have you seen the forecast for mid to end of NEXT week :eek: :D

Horrible here now Rod, rain is pis... pouring down. Wouldn't mind but it wasn't forecast when I checked the Met Office website earlier so I wandered around the garden this morning spraying plant food! Rain has turned that into a pointless exercise.Don't say that, I'm pencilled in for MG Northumbria a week on Saturday!

We move on next Wednesday to just outside Chippenham - forecast for that area by then is 28° :eek:

Evening Tony, lovely morning here but a hell of a lot of water fell this afternoon, from about 1pm onwards. Rain has stopped and its drying up a bit now.

I'm on Thatchers Gold tonight - to wash down pork pie, extra mature cheddar cheese, double yolked boiled eggs & salad - followed by fresh strawberries

I better not drink too much of this as I've yet to cook supper and at 8.2% it doesn't take much on an empty stomach to get you a little bit squiffy ;):}

That sounds like a tasty meal Rod:drool4: A good salad (with the right meat) is hard to beat:D

Just don't be putting the empty bottles back in the fridge:eek: Or start squiffy dancing around the garden:D

Not sure yet Derek - depending on the weather, we may have a trip over the moors to Lynton & Lynmouth (I know you can remember the cricket pitch in the Vallley of the Rocks ;))
We do need to top up the larder too - and the nearest supermarket is about 14 miles away

G'day all - first time I've had internet or any kind of access to the ether today :}
The weather has spoiled itself a little today - a number of quite heavy showers. The good news is that they've cleared, the sun has arrived, and it's pretty darned warm. The even better news is that the forecast from now onwards is pretty much unbroken sunshine for the next 10 days, with the exception of the odd shower on Sunday.

We've had a lazy day today, went out for a paper - a 10 mile round trip - and then just idled around the site. We'll have to go and do some serious shopping tomorrow - food supplies aren't too bad - but I've run out of cider :eek:

Good evening everyone,had an afternoon in Polpero today,got a bit wet it was misty with drizzly rain,back at the site,the sun is now shining,just had pulled beef chilli with rice from the camp takeaway,very nice and tasty:drool4:

I honestly couldn't eat that much. I've cut down on how much I eat and now my stomach is accustomed to less food. We were out for a meal tonight, I made the mistake of having a starter, couldn't finish the main, scrub the dessert!

Had to put yet another hole in my belt! I'm now at the point where I'll have to think about new trousers, most hang off me now.

I am going to the airport this afternoon to catch a flight to Doha in Qatar. I spend the night in Doha. It is very hot there right now and then fly to London tomorrow morning - a 7 hour flight :)

Been and topped up on food, and more importantly cider, today at Minehead. Then had a leisurely drive back over the moors - about 10 miles which took us almost an hour - I'm going to have to send Angela on a map reading course. :shrug:
I thought we'd gone wrong when I drove past the same dead pheasant in the middle of the road for the second time :D
Been a lovely day on Exmoor today - clear skies and sunshine, and temperatures up to 20°C.
Apart from the possibility of a shower tomorrow, the next week is supposed to be sunny & hot - fingers crossed.

eveniin all,I'm back, been to Loughborough,took 4 hours to get there last night,and only 3 to come back.
The auto returned a healthy 46.6 mpg ,on 182 miles.Well chuffed with that:D
Time for some food now,then an early night,really tired,dint get evening meal last night until 10.20:eek:, it took 40 minutes from order to serving.
So by the time we ate and got to bed it was nearly midnight,then had to be up early this morning to be at the uni for 9.

Evening Richard, hope the long wait for dinner was worth it :eek:

it was ok,but nowt fantastic,as for breakfast,pah!,the sausages were tough,the mushrooms half cold,as was the bacon,Not impressed.

It is a shame that the quality and service didn't meet your expectations.
