The quad xenons really are the best... if you ever get to drive with them you will think you had cataracts before.
The road is so well lit across the full lane and kerb, and thanks to the hard cut off line projected by the xenons you get good projection a lot further down the road giving you more time to notice and react, but without dazzling oncoming drivers.... I would go for the whiter 6200k burners as well, they are better than the standard 4600k yellowed lights like halogen. And when you put the full beams on (they react instantly due to the coil actuated divert flaps), then you think it's daylight outside.. Well worth every penny for safety and useability as well as looking as cool as hell without detracting from the cars usual styling in both mk1 or facelift... |

Very good value for money

Here I am. Despite some warnings or scoffs here & there, as I'd ordered them, I decided to have a go on my 25 1.4 mk1, now missus' daily. Regarding the 75 & thanks to @suzublu, I've fitted the PIAA Hyper Arros but not yet tested by night. Back to the blue so called Xenon bulbs (but fog lamps not yet fitted). I've tested them on Tuesday night but after a good thorough service with Turtle Wax. Regarding the latter it's very well known but deserves its good reputation. Three plastics were rather good but the right outside one that was a bit glassy. After a comprehensive cleansing they were all top spec as new. Nevertheless if the final result was improved by Turtle Wax, it shouldn't obliterate the indisputable effect of the bulb swap. I should say that it's a success & those blue bulbs are a very good value for money: brighter & whiter than the old standard ones so that it could nearly be sufficient now to drive with the dipped beams only on country roads, because the light is going further ahead. And with the addition of the main beams, compared to what I'd in the first place it may nearly look luxurious! I haven't got any shares in that item but for me it's definitely a good investment despite their weird blue look and the lack of confidence they caused a few days ago. Let's see if they can last long enough. |

Fitted to my car and find main beam poor. Better illumination with OEM lights on my Tourer. Test before you drive. |
