Have either of you a link to where I can buy this latest version? Heard of this before, but had never looked into getting one - partly because I wouldn't know where to start looking, or how to tell a quality product from a piece of junk.

Kodi is Free as are the Ares Builds . or are you after a Box to start up with ?

try it all on the PC version first to get a taste .. ;)

I thought I'll have a different one on my other PC so just installed 'Durex build' strange choice of name for a build:shrug: but it's in the same vein as the Pulse build & huge content on there.:} http://www.drxbld.com/update-within-kodidurex-build/

I have Freeview on my non smart tv, do I just buy a Fire stick, or do I have to buy Kodi as well. I have never done these gadgets before, so I am a total beginner. Any advice welcome. Thanks, John.

Thanks for the reply, when I look at the advert it seems if I want to see new tv channeis other then Freeview I need Prime, I think Prime is too expensive, am I right?. Thanks, John.

Very little on Prime you cant get on kodi
I have used kodi for a couple years on android boxes, but have had it on fire stick for last 8 months its fine for movies etc sometimes buffers a lot on football matches, but well worth £25

You would just need to buy the fire stick. Kodi is a free 'app' that you download over a wifi network. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube! That's where I go to learn. Follow step by step as you set it up. Easy, honestly, I'm a total technophobe and managed.

Evenin' all,

After being impressed with the sister-in-laws' Android TV Box for watching films, I risked £35 with Amazon for a "2017 Version" recommended by many on Amazon.

Plugged it in, connected to TV with HDMI cable, connected to my WiFi and away it went. Films and TV Boxed Sets galore!

The box is made by "Leelbox".... whoever they are.... came preinstalled with Kodi and lots of Apps. The Exodus App is the one it came with to get at all the films. Really impressed.

I want to see if any of the preinstalled Apps gives access to Sports (Live Footy in particular) but not got round to searching yet.

Anyone recommend a good App to download for Live Footy? :D

Just out of curiosity of course....!

Cheers

John
