Hi,

I would like to thank the organization for last Sunday's event in Gaydon.
It was very nice to be able to speak to all kinds of 75 and ZT enthusiasts.
I followed the project team's presentation with great interest.
Unfortunately we had to leave a bit earlier to be able to catch the train in Folkestone on time.

In total we travelled 1300 miles but it was definitely worth it.

Regards,

Pim

I really enjoyed the day & the calibre of the 75/ZT’s on display was very high. The highlight for anoraks of the MGR Marque was the nearly two hour long question & answer session with R40 project team. It really tops off the Great R40 documentary from 2020. I certainly gleaned some interesting new information.

It was a real shame that Museum seems to have ‘lost’ the first production 75 (their answer) as those of us who have visited the museum many times are already familiar with the last 75. Still there were enough pre-production, early or just awesome 75’s to make up for it.

Many thanks to Reebs for organising the day & panel. I knew it would be special & it was. It was the inaugural outing for my ZT-T but I was much to interested in everyone else’s cars to stay with mine.

I also enjoyed getting to chat with some of the owners & recognised some of the cars from the previous days Longships & Octagons event at Great British Car Journey.

Great day out! Very appreciative of the organisation of the event and found that there were multiple anoraks in the crowd! Great weather helped the day and amazed that members travelled very far to get there! Looking forward to next year's event

Car Mechanics - July Edition

As a post script to the National back in April, Mike Humble the renowned motoring journalist and former salesman of Rover cars has penned an excellent write up of our meet in the July edition of Car Mechanics magazine, and this should hit the news stands around 12th June he tells me.

So look out for the July copy from the middle of next week. He really enjoyed being on the panel and also seeing so many cared for 75s and ZTs and was knocked out by the enthusiasm and passion we all have for our cars.

It really is a good read, and well worth buying a copy. :cool2:

Hi Paul

It was Mike that got me into Rover 75's.

After a chance meet with Mike at a Car Show I straight-swopped my Rover Montego 1.6 which he fell in love with for his famous Moonstone Rover 75 1.8 Club SE that features on the AROnline Web Site.

When I later did a trade-in with a garage in Essex to get my current V6 I told Mike and he immediately went to the garage and bought the 1.8 back from them!

There's the full story on the AROnline Web site (along with masses of interesting articles there if you want to have a look)

A true gentleman with a vast knowledge of our cars.

Happy Roving all

John
