A bit more cleaning done yesterday under the bonnet. I like the engine bay to be as clean as the outside a little more detailing and it will be finished.

Would you mind if I brought my dinner around to your house, or more specifically your engine bay! I being in dirtier restaurants :D

Lovely job

Very nice Colin, but for that extra bling, replace the slam panel bolts with stainless, makes all the difference;) http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/...psjskseder.jpghttp://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/...psrbddr5wp.jpg

WOW thats a lovely engine bay better than mine. The slam panel is the only thing letting mine down with surface rust needs grinding off painting satin black and stainless bolts fitted then it will look a lot better.

Dear Colin

What products do you use to clean the engine bay/components. ? I have some Autoglym engine/machine cleaner, but I am a bit wary of using it as directed, as they suggest rinsing off with a hose pipe - presumably you have to protect electrical items if you do this.

Thanks
Pete

Hi pete i dont use any engine cleaner just my normal car shampoo (triple wax liquid gold) in my pressure washer. After i cover the electrical connections with masking tape i give the engine a good clean then use waterless wash and wax in a spray bottle and a clean cloth then go over it again. I usually do the latter once a week when i wash the car and do mechanical checks (oil etc) it keeps it nice and clean. Hope this helps.
Colin.

Why settle for "factory finish" when you can get so much "bling" for free? Just my opinion of course. :D
