so it failed it's first MOT under my ownership, main reason being major leak in rear silencer, luckily I had a spare universal box in the workshop so that has been fitted today to get it through the retest

here is the old box

and this is what the replacement box looks like, not a lot of restriction in it

I forgot to take a picture of it on the car, will do that tomorrow. It will definitely be a temporary measure as it's a bit boomy at 2k rpm but will do till I can save up for a full s/s system

been awhile since updating this, I thought I had put a put of up the new exhaust on the car but clearly not and it's not on my phone :s anyway, more updates have happened in the mean time

I've changed the lower engine mount as it was completely fubar, the car is now an animal :D

I've also upgraded my front speakers after seeing post after post about others upgrading theirs, and I'm glad I did as this is what the drivers front looked like

and this is what the new ones look like

the tweeters fit in the original holes without modification, they will rotate if you try turn them but will sit fine if you leave them

final change was to change the interior lights for LEDs, nice and bright now, oddly one of them was slightly yellow compared the others even though they came, didn't really bother me as I put that one in the central spot and looks nice

yes that is a shammy stuffed inside the hole where the sunroof button would be, I have been getting drips from there every now and then so thought I'd hang it there to soak it up

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/120829824668 those are the ones I used, you just need a flat blade to pop off the cover, there is a small slot in which you can use to help level out the cover

Nice project! great looking car ;)
with the led lights, do they still dim down when you shut the door like the bulbs do or are they just on/off?
