I know someone who went to see the car with the intention of buying it if a deal could be done, he returned and reckoned the person has no intention of selling it and a week later the price went up

He offered him within 5% of the asking price and he wanted a full service and a new set of tyres. He was told even at the full asking price he would not do anything.

£34,000 but well worth it for a V8 don't you think?

Nope. ;) .....

Then there is the colour ...

One did sell at auction for £19,244 recently with just 2,500 miles on the clock, in the same colour (the seller would have got about 4k less). That gives you some idea of the depreciation rate of your 35k if you were to drive it!

.

Surely this car is not for the ordinary buyer wishing to drive a nice V8. It has rarity value which only a collector would recognise. I suspect it is targeted at such a potential buyer. Whether such a buyer exists, who knows?

Personally, I love the colour - Platinum Gold is my favourite for a 75.

I would love a V8 but would only spend £30k+ on a car if I had won this amount or my shares doubled in price etc. Then I would buy this https://www.westwelljones.co.uk/vehi...7-de266a7890ae as my interest is in driving rather than collecting.

I do feel that it would be a shame if this one-off 75 V8 was not aimed at an exclusive buyer with a price to match its exclusivity and I feel that the seller has got it right.

Only if someone has money to burn!, it is well overpriced and good luck with selling, that kind of money gets you into Audi BMW and Mercedes land, and all these have models that will chew-up and spit out the V8 without as much as trying, enough said, anything else is wishful thinking, now if the price was a more realistic 3.5K, then that is a different matter.

I think the idea is, I'll put a sale price up but make it so expensive no one will buy it...

Les Finnie has a much better ZT-T 260 for sale.

Having paid about £1.70 a litre for petrol on the A14 last weekend, I’ll pass on the V8 at this time.

I can get 26mpg out of my ZTT V8 400 on a good run.

Same here with my ZT260, touring France in September, did 2000 miles and at one point got 28mpg on 2 fill ups, but averaged 25 overall and I wasn't hanging about on the French motorways
