Not been in an Aldi or Lidl shop yet and do not intend to.

No chance of Aldi or Lidl. This is a small village, not suburbia, and the Coop employs 2 or 3 people. It would take them many years just to recover the cost of building a store.

Fair point,I wonder how many residents with a car do a full shop there.

Probably quite a few but they are elderly and would not fancy driving to the nearest Tesco.

Exactly the same in suburbia regarding older people, and that is what has encouraged the CO-OP to overcharge for years.Hopefully this will change for those capable of shopping online at the mainstream supermarkets.

You do not think the elderly and PCs are compatible?

Like all other aspects of life it depends on the individual and their grasp of technology. Some aged 100 would find it a breeze others at 30 would struggle.
It's you who are making an issue of age,not me.

Agreed but my wife serves them and knows their capability.
So much of the trade is newspapers, tobacco and alcohol. Not worth going to Aldi for.

Are you suggesting that Aldi and Lidl aren't greedy? I had no idea those companies were so marvellously altruistic!
