I did a normal search for it this morning. Came up as £40 + vat. It wasn't listed as sale item.
The rhd was over £300.

2 of us seemed not to have found it, you could have provided a link as you seeded to found it. The link has now been provided by another member.

Guess whats in the sale list? Yes a LHD steering column,
Would you believe it lol.

i bought 2 of these and changed mine. now have a spare ! not a bad job just take it slowly and methodicaly. there is a howto on here somewhere by a member rich i believe. his only problem was changing the rubber boot over . this has to be done. you can either cut them and rejoin them or use 2 x plastic conduit pieces cut longways afer being well lubed up to pull them on and off. the latter method is preferable i found. search for the howto and good luck. .... ;)

Do you know the significance of the part number?

Is it one column fits all.

Thanks

From what I remember from 5 years ago, the £25 one was LHD and the RHD was £300+.
The 2 differences were the rubber boot at the bottom which you can swap over from the old one. The other difference was the mark on the top of the column which should line up with the mark on the steering wheel. The LHD one will be a couple or 3 splines out. No problem, but you need to be aware and align the steering wheel yourself.
I did mine and been perfect since, although my son in law now owns the car.
