Ouch Steve! Rib pain is a bummer! Plenty of paracetomols and ibruprofen gel when I did mine and that set off the dodgy stomach again! It was in the middle of Covid, so there was no way that I was going into a hospital! Hope you feel better soon. I always pull, rather than push stuff now, unless it's a wheelbarrow!;) Summer's on its way. :getmecoat:

Filled a big bucket (bleedin' heavy!), humped it back. Once I got up the steps to the gate I decided to make things easier by getting the wheeled pot mover. Put the bucket on the pot mover, I was leaning down shoving it along the path (quite quickly) when it caught a join in the concrete, the pot mover stopped dead, I didn't! Momentum took me over the top, landing heavily on my side but here's the kicker, I landed with my elbow in my ribs. Suspect I've bruised ribs, couldn't get comfortable during the night, moving hurts, can't take a deep breath, coughing is a really bad idea!

Ouch! Sounds painful Steve. I've been thinking about getting one of those pot movers or a sack truck because moving those big containers around the garden is getting harder & harder, Missus keeps getting 50-60ltr containers & has no idea how heavy they are when full.

It's our anniversary at the end of the month & the Moonpig card I ordered online has just been delivered. :D:p::D

Loading up on paracetamol, not so sure about rubbing anything on, very tender to say the least.

They are worth it but be aware of any rough bits on the paths etc, it was a join in the concrete path that caused my downfall.

Suzy was quite cute when it happened. I lay there for a minute to gather myself together and she stood next to my head staring into my face.

Good morning Jeff

Thank you for explaining the power of the Ninja in an earlier reply. Our solar inverter is 5KVA but we also have 2 sockets for mains power in the kitchen, the rest are on solar. I have not seen any Ninjas for sale in Nairobi yet. In the meantime, do continue to enjoy yours and the days out in Lady Emma :)

Good morning Steve,

How are you now, are you any better?

I had a chest injury after falling onto boulders behind the family house on a mountain farm above Somerset West in South Africa. At the time I was carrying a tray of eggs in from the car and was more concerned about not breaking the eggs than my fall……..I went to A&E, had a chest X-ray, no broken ribs, just painful chest bruises for a few weeks. Like yourself took Paracetamol.

As one becomes older, these falls are harder to bear.

Do take care.

Good morning all

This afternoon we have physio, Jessica is having treatment for her back and I am having physio to make the leg stronger after the operation and the physio is definitely helping.

The forecast today is sunny and 30C so I will be pacing myself and wearing a hat.

What is everyone up to?
