The forest takes me about 2 hours to explore if I take my time. Because of the long rains, it is now lush and thick with undergrowth and trees.

I adjusted the exposure and increased the black point. This enables more details to be seen. Olive Thrush Large and plumage very wet. I shared this photo on another site to get the correct bird I.D, as it appeared to be much larger than the usual Olive Thrush. In response, I had varied opinions as to what it was, ranging from a Golden Weaver, to a wet Olive Thrush, to an illegal immigrant :}

Humanity in action 2 craftsmen at home today helping each other out to get the job done. The welder is sawing a rod and the other (wearing a Chelsea shirt) is holding onto it. We are building a steel footbridge over a passage way.

White Black Orange Monarch Butterfly, I used a monopod to get the shot - large with dramatic colours, did not stay around for very long because of the heat in the sun and neither did I ;)

Billbergia vittata Domingos Martins Bromeliad Quite a mouthful!
Grows in the garden because of the climate and flowers in the rainy season, likes partial shade. Apparently much sought after in the U.S.A ;) mature size 8"x16" (Photo not cropped or edited). https://farm1.staticflickr.com/864/4...aff96221_c.jpgBillbergia vittata Domingos Martins Bromeliad by philip Gate Keeper, on Flickr |
