Default Tourer owners

Just bought one and I've a quick question. What is supposed to go behind the panel in the boot lid? It's just empty but looks like it did hold something.

Mine was missing when I bought my tourer, I found a generic brand one from Tesco that done the job nicely.

There's some on ebay that seem to fit ~£10. Not too bad comes in a Rover MG bag and box.

They were an option not an automatic supply item.
