Double din
As I see it, the problem now is that unless the manufacturers are prepared to make a unit especially to order to satisfy a customers specific requirements then the unit price which includes everything that anyone could want will rise to a point where I for one would be priced out of the market.
I don't want to pay for things I would not want nor use. Picky's original unit with RDS which is how it was advertised even if it didn't work would have done for me and I may have bought one at that price. |

Hello Keith
How did the operation go? I hope you are well and trying to get about. I think the unit is worth what you are willing to pay for it and what you want it to do. Quote:

I was waiting for nearly three weeks while they changed the logo so in the end I said just send it unchanged so I could at least get one to try out.Since then I have sussed out how to do it myself and let Cathy know.A bit later Cathy emailed back and said "could you teach me how to do it?" So I believe I am now on the staff as an unpaid technical advisor.

Graham, am I right in saying the MG logo was only loaded with the SAT NAV? if that is the case it is quite easy to change via the Skin on IGO.

The logo does not apply to the satnav/winCE side of things it's held in flash memory controlled by the Sunplus chip which drives the main interface and functions other than the satnav. The logo does not show on start up I think it just defaults to the last mode that was used when you switch it on,however, if you play a cd or when a dvd is loading then that's when the logo rears its ugly head. You don't even have to have a logo ,you could have just a blank screen or any picture you like, even one of the wife..................no forget that last part!!!

You can't access it from the unit,it's done off the remote control and the picture you want to use has to be on the SD card or a usb thumbdrive.I had to improvise the instructions from another chinese unit and tried random buttons till I hit the right one.
