Default cup holder

hi Guys, my cup holder will not lock in place. looks like the locking pin has broken, but i can't see where it is located. i have read people have drilled in a new pin but I need to see a picture as to the exact location. can anyone help ?

That looks interesting, but I haven’t figured out what the 1.4mm nails are for.

Any ideas?

It looks like he has used the head of a rivet and a shortened nail in combo with the glue. The rivets are silver, nails gold and in the 2nd picture you can see the colour contrast silver head and gold pin. Wonder why a rivet alone wouldn't do the job.

You are correct.

I’ve just measured a rivet mandrel and it is 1.9mm, so there wouldn’t be enough plastic to take a pin of that diameter.
