Steering wheel dirty.
I have a sandstone leather/ wood steering which is now seriously dirty, same with the drivers door grab handle, what is the best method of cleaning these?. I have searched, but nothing comes up. Thanks, John.

Steering wheel cleaning
If the wheel is just dirty and not worn, try proper saddle soap. I use it a lot and is great for cleaning and keeping all leather in good order. It will even clean up oil marked leather. Ive used it on the leather in my 75 with great results.

Mine was so bad when I bought the car that I dyed the leather bits Black.
It looks very nice now. |

I cleaned various bits of the interior of my car (including the leather and wood steering wheel) with a bar of Vanish stain remover and a nail brush. It seemed to work very well on the textured plastic and also on the leather. I cleaned up afterwards a damp cloth and was very pleased with the results.

I took a bowl of cold water into the car and dipped the nail-brush into it before giving it a couple of rubs on the Vanish bar and then scrubbing the various bits of dirty trim - seemed to work well.
