I was just showing them to Jessica. We have a special interest in the maritime ones you took, as her uncle is a maritime artist for The Imperial War Museum in London.
Many thanks for your kind comments,I count my self pretty fortunate living by the sea, thus enabling me to select as it were a subject I have always had an interest in, ships/shipping.

With it, comes an added bonus of some spectacular sunsets,in my mind there is nothing like a superb sunset over water, some of the effects on the water can be breathtaking, hence why I an going to post one of my favourite sunset pics,

Once again Phil, many thanks to yourself & Jessica, hope all is well.

Best Regards.

John.

I like the first photo John as there is so much in it to see and you have not missed out on any details. The the glow from the sunlight through the trees adds warmth. Could even be a summers evening, just before the sun starts to go down. I recently joined a photography forum to get some tips and to see what other people are doing. Seems to be British based and they are all a friendly bunch of photography enthusiasts

What a difference a few days make, contrast the look of these images P610 with previous views taken from the same location looking over Derwentwater at dusk similar time each day & with the added help of the cloud formations, you never have two days alike.

Especially at this time of year, the splendor of the Lake District is particularly spectacular.
