![]() I am in the process of replacing the smokestone headlining in my car for a sandstone one.
Got the headlining from Mickeyboy( thank you young man!). Anyway, I took the old one out, had to fold it a bit to get through the doors etc, but now I am putting the new one in, don't really want to have too fold it like a handkerchief to get it in and end up with creases all over it. Is there a knack to it that I cant see ![]() ![]() Thanks.Steve.

![]() I’ve recently re trimmed mine and re fitted it thus,
Remove front head rests and recline both seats as far back as possible Put the steering column as far up and inward, The headlining can then be offered in through the drivers door and into place. It is much easier if you have a helper but I managed and I’m 67 years old but it is awkward. You do have to bend it very slightly but not as much as will damage it. Good luck ![]() |

![]() Yes the above method works well but if it was me I’d remove the seat, obvious when I removed the headlining the car was gutted.
Best of luck Steve, oh and your welcome mate ![]() Mick
