Walworth Castle - Sunday 18th March 2018
Therefore, can those attending, please re-confirm there attendance, and also if any members have any dietary requirements, then a Veggie alternative can be provided, but I will need to know in advance.
Just to keep you all updated, I visited Walworth Castle today, and had a long discussion with the Manager of the Castle, and the venue will suit us very well. The castle is also open for us to use during the day, they have facilities (toilets, bar, and a few other things (bird sanctuary and a lake) and you can also tour the castle) which are included in the costs. Due the possible numbers attending, they would not be able to accommodate us all in the carvery, and the costs for the carvery are shown below, Hi Stuart and likewise really nice to meet you too. Having thought about the best options available to you and your members and to make the day extra special then a private room being the Ballroom with the double doors giving access to the grounds, I think would be ideal. I would always recommend a 2 course Carvery with Tea or Coffee for £17.95 but understand after speaking with you that your members would prefer to pay £10 per head so with this in mind how about we serve Hot Pork sandwiches and Tea or Coffee in the Ballroom for £10 per head? Chris Also the Ballroom is on the side of the Castle, and therefore we will have easy access to the Ballroom from where we will be parked up I will during the next few week (no later than end of February) have to confirm with the Castle the total numbers attending, and the cost will be £10 per head, which includes the Carvery lunch (changed from pork Sarnie and Tea/Coffee), and also they have set aside an area specially for us for the show to take place. The plan will be to arrive at around 1015 hrs onwards, Pay me for the entry as I will have to pay in Advance (collect Food Ticket) then we will go for Lunch at approx. 1300 hrs and then after Lunch, I will give out prizes to all the appropriate winners. Therefore, can those attending, please re-confirm there attendance, and also if any members have any dietary requirements, then a Veggie alternative can be provided, but I will need to know in advance. Please add me to the list as well Stuart. As a bonus I've always wanted to go to the Museum there but never had an excuse before!
Thanks, Ali.
