Default rear trailing arm bushes?

ok I believe I am talking about the right bit ..

http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID001553

item 2?

what should the play be in these shoud they be solid or have play in them .. if so what amout of play
seems to be the only bush I can find with any play in it at all the arms move 5mm ish round this bush but a bit hard to see the bush itself

its about the only thing I can see that might affect this slight weave

anyone got a how to on replacement if they are shot?

My local garage had trouble finding the bush; so they cross referenced part numbers and used a BMW 3 series bush. I discovered the problem when I took the car in for tracking; uneven tyre wear and pulling to the left were the symptoms. Hope that helps, good luck getting it done

Interesting, so the buses themselves had wear? usually the problems you have mentioned have apparently been cured with adjusting the rear wheel alignment - but if these bushes are knackered then that would presumably affect the wheel alignment.

Same as BMW E46 3-series, probably the only -non electrical or miscellaneous part that they have in common.

i had no 2 fitted when my rear tyres got scrubbed, i went for tracking as that is what i thought it was, they said cannot be tracked as the rear trail arm bushes are shot, bought the bushes from rimmers and got them fitted£170 total. didnt even need tracked as it was just the bushes, how do you think yours are worn ie worn tyres

There should be no slackness in the bush, if that's what you mean. With the suspension hanging loose there should only be an up/down movement at the hub (using a jack or lever). The arm shouldn't move in/out/back/forth at the bush.
