Gearshift problem Rover 75
On Easter Saturday we drove 30 miles to the coast, on the way home lost all gears except 2nd which box was stuck in. Called AA who could not fix but thought we had a broken shift cable, recovered us home to our local Rover (ex) dealer. They identified a broken cable but were not able to replace it due to NONE IN THE COUNTRY. Car was fixed after a week using a second hand cable. Dealer has put cable on back order and it is expected first week in June I hope!!. Has anybody had or knows of this before? or a source of cables so that I can let our local dealer know.
