Take it off, clean & regrease the slider pins, pop the piston out if you can, give it a good clean & regrease( with proper brake grease) Did mine twice, got fed up in the end & fitted a reconditioned one, been fine since

I had a similar issue a few weeks back, it turned out to be a collapsed brake hose.
As my caliper's were a bit crusty around the pistons I took the opportunity to replace both front calipers & hose's Rob

Sticky calipers are a pain the back side. I've had two or three. Ended up replacing them in the end with good used ones from scrappys or traders.

somebody has already suggested this normally works very.
Strip caliper of the car extract piston as far as possible without it coming right out so as to try to not to have to bleed the system, using very fine (the finest yoy can get) wet & dry paper give the piston a really good clean put a smear of brake grease on piston then get someone to help depress brake pedal several times while you make sure piston does not pop out,of course you will need to keep pushing piston back in do this several times until piston moves freely in & out. good luck. |

Grease
The guide pins seize . Use the correct grease. often copper grease is used which causes guide pins to seize up or red rubber grease which oxidises.
I use Molykote G3407 as supplied with new pads or available on ebay. It is not sold in shops of motor factors. It Is I believe supplied to brake manufacturers & car factories only. |
