Talking Wow - Worlds fastest estate car for sale.....

Just discovered this one:

https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1721324

Fancy a 800bhp ZT-T with parachute brakes?

This is the one that broke the record on Bonneville salt flats. I bet it'll cost a few £!!!

This is quite disturbing IMO. Not only have they seemingly lost the first Rover 75, they're now selling this important historical car. I can't help but feel Gaydon is losing its way.

Cool

Is it road legal? Be a bit of fun if it is.

Is it road legal? Absolutely not! This was purpose built as a record breaker and specifically for high speed runs on the Bonneville Salt Flats where it did 225MPH to become the world's fastest estate car. In order to make it driveable you would have to take away all of the things that make it what it is.
Better to get a red ZT-T, straight-pipe the exhaust and have replica signage made.

I don't believe its owned by the British Motor Museum but has been in private ownership and has only been on display since the MG Centenary Celebrations last year. I can understand why you thought this because the advert seems to imply they owned it. It was just on display.
