I now understand this is about a hard-wired Nokia hands-free accessory kit, that only works with certain Nokia phones but integrates with Highline like the originally-planned but canned system would have done. I have found this system listed in an accessory brochure so was definitely available and made it to market, so presumably there are more examples of this kit in existence.
The March 2005 press announcement was relating to some pre-installed wiring for the the hands-free car kits, to make fitting of them easier and quicker. There were no new hands-free kits announced at that time.
Posts #14, #16 and #34 show that a factory Bluetooth kit for Highline was being developed, but would have been launched along with a new sat-nav head unit (presumably a wide-screen Bordmonitor to go with the existing system?) but never made it to market before MGR went under.
Steve, any luck with getting this hard-wired system going? I didn't even know it existed until I read this thread

Not had a chance to look at installing it yet, been busy sorting leaks out in the boot etc. but I'll get around to it eventually (not this weekend as it's Mothers Day and a local area meeting!)
