Angry '75 Under tray

Hi,
Is it possible to fix the tray in position without having the car up on a ramp.
Cheers.

Yes, I do it all the time. I use a small jack placed in the middle, and lift it in place before fixing.

I run it up on two car ramps with two wedge shaped bits of wood in front to clear the front bumper. Go in head first pulling the tray on top of your stomach, and make sure the front is lying on top of the inside of the bumper then concentrate on getting ONE bolt in first to take the weight. After that it's straightforward. I always dab some copper slip on each bolt as it won't be the last time you have to take it off.

With the front of the car on axle stands or ramps, I push a bucket or paint tin under the car, to where the rear of the under tray should be. Then slide the undertray under the car and lift the rear of the undertray to rest on the bucket to take the weight of it off (me).
Then, with it almost level(ish) I slide the undertray forward to fit onto the front bumper.
Then working from the rear, put all the screws in.

Two wheels up on the kerb. We have quite high kerbs outside our house.

More or less the same as I do, only I have a piece of wood to fit under the rear where the cover goes. You then only have to wriggle the front of the cover in to place
