Default Front Subframe - can I transport it in a Saloon

I was once told by a very reliable source (marinabrian) that a front subframe could be transported in a saloon - but does anyone know how to get it in?
I did not get the details of this from marinabrian, I did try to fit one in my saloon sometime ago, but gave up quite quickly. I now have the chance of another one, I would have to order it online and transport it from Spain in my saloon (I'm in Spain at the moment).

Tommy :-)

Drop the rear seat back down for more boot room, even more if you remove the rear seat squab.

Wow! I've had to load one in an X-Type Estate and it only just squeezes in with a Gnat's whisker either side. If you got one into a 75 saloon boot (albeit with the rear seating removed) I'm very impressed.

Is it a FWD or RWD sub-frame?

Where are you transporting it to?

cheers,

Kev

I missed the delivery deadline for this to be shipped to me internally in Spain - I was the intending to transport it from Spain to Edinburgh in the back of my Saloon :-)

I'm still interested to hear if it can be done and how?

Tommy :-)
