What a truly lovely car!!!! Bet you can't by a double din for it though, not that you'd want to.

I don't suppose this unit supports lossless audio does it such as .FLAC files? I have my entire music collection in that format and keep all the CDs up the loft as masters.

That's my intention with my collection, as MP3 format sucks in terms of true HiFi

No Decks, It Does have Cassette! Beats the 8 track of the 77's ! I try not to touch or change anything. Irks me that I had to put a Non-Original Battery in it ! And at the moment the exhaust manifold is cracked and trying to decide what to do with it. They say they can weld........ Had all winter to think about it and still can't bring byself to do anything about it ! I Don't want to change it and if I Weld it........ I Dunno |

AAC or Apple lossless for you then Jules. I have mine set to 320kbps MP3 which is pretty close to original, at least close enough not to notice any difference, but then my ears ain't what they used to be.

A car interior is probably the least acoustically beneficial environment you can get... you sit off-centre, there are loads of vibrations and outside noise, the speaker enclosures are very shallow and relatively flimsy, and there are lots of vertical surfaces for sound to be absorbed into or reflect off (seats etc).

Appreciate your comments Calibrax but believe me, I can tell the difference between an MP3 CD to a proper Audio CD even in a Car environment at say 50 MPH.
