You have to access the SD Card, Go to the SYS or SYS.TXT (Depends how your windows settings are) Open it

There you will see

screen_x
screen_y

It Should look like this

screen_x=480
screen_y=234

Also above that you will see this

resolution_dir="???_???"

It Should look like this
resolution_dir="480_234"

Reboot your IGO8 and you should be on Full screen
The IGO that came with the unit I checked and it did't have the layout you wrote but there was a hight_234 and width_480 plus alot of other stuff. The Igo I use is newer with newer maps so I wanted to use that one instead. As you said it's in the sys file I started searching for them and found one for resolution 800x480 . Exchanged it and got full screen back!
Thanks for the tip.
cheers!

That's what I was about to ask!
I believe you have to put a dvd into the unit and got to the setup menu but when I did I could not find anywhere how to add my logo instead
The regular MG logo looks pretty lame compared to the one you made so I hope you or somebody can guide me.

Worked!
I only wish it would turn up when you changed mode(instead of the blue screen) and that it would automaticly go in as a screen saver when having the radio on or so(like in your home computer).

Thanks boy's and have a great weekend!

There is an option on one of the IGO skins (which you can add) to have a screen saver which will work, but I have never had cause to it, I can give it a try and see what happens.

Guys, Just one Word of advice to any of you that all already have these units.
If for any reaon you have to return them to China , NEVE AND I MEAN NEVE use a western Courier Like UPS or DHL or FEDEX or TNT.
ONLY use your postal service or Chinese Customs will impose taxes and roadblocks. This is Common Knowledge. And Remember to write DEFECTIVE And a Value of about $20.00US
On one of the other forums a customer that sent via DHL is getting dinged for $260.oo Re-entry taxes. This NEVER happens with Postal. ONLY with Couriers.

Your sellers SHOULD be advising you of this if you have to send anything back but in case thy are not, thought I would share it.

Good luck, hope you find a way!
I took a pic but they did not come out very good. The resolution of the unit is good, the camera is a good one but the cameraman needs to go a photo course.
I'm really happy with it, looks great live!
