mini meet at Carter bar - new date set - Page 6

Many thanks to all those who came today,arrived at Carter Bar,it was FREEZING.We waited for an hour for our scottish friends to join us,then couldn't stand the cold any more, so it was of to the cafe at the Jedburgh woolen mill,for a warm up and cuppa,there we were joined by AldoR,and Rotrex,and eventually Marinabrian and 2diesels. Well I had a disappointing week on holiday mostly due to my sudden loss of memory on Tuesday

I had to cancel my trip to Burleigh House which I was really looking forward to.
Instead I did a handbrake mod for another member which was a success & he went away happy then this morning me & Brian decided to tackle the exhaust on the Volvo ready for it's re-test.
When we'd finished we decided we'd nip up to Carter Bar & see the lads so the V8 being my only car with fuel in & the obvious choice anyway we set off & I thoroughly enjoyed the run, the A696 through Otterburn & the A68 over the Bar being my favourite stretch of road.
The boys had all moved a little further up the road to Jedburgh which was at least a topcoat warmer & then Aldo suggested a photoshoot back at Carter Bar so a small convoy (6?) meandered up the hill & into the layby where it was minus eleventeen degrees

we hung about for as long as we could stand & then meandered back down at a steady liesurely pace apart from when I had to show a young'un in a ZR who was boss
