Yes, generally torque is king, electric cars prove that, they generally have a massive amount of torque and good acceleration.
When it comes to torque the one with the highest amount is more often than not going to outperform the other on the twisty bits

Top end speed is no so much an issue with most cars with any kind of performance are speed limited to 155mph here in the UK, yes you can get round that but then you're restrained by the speed rating of your tyres which at high speed need a decent safety margin above your max speed. ( My Winter tyres are speed rated at 165, who the heck would want to approach that kind of speed in anything
other than totally dry and above freezing temperatures is
beyond me )

155 mph?
I struggle to maintain 70 mph on today's motorways ...

The rest is all irrelevant IMHO.

If you want real spirited performance, forget the 75/ZT and buy a XF 3.0D or a Mercedes CLS 3.0D. Both these cars have abundance of character similar to the 75/ZT but with performance at an entirely different level. Our XF-S only produces 275BHP but the 600Nm of torque gives it exceptional perfomance plus sound that resembles a petrol engine when accelarating.

The 75 is the wrong type of car with which to have aspirations of burning rubber or discuss BHP numbers. It's more approriate to discuss the colour of ones Chinos and quality leather driving shoes.
It is being advertised as 160bhp, see the signature of Russ...

I'm not bothered about the map being sold, my problem is with the false advertising of it. Imagine buying anything else in this world and getting less than advertised, everyone would be kicking off. Fill your car up with 60L of fuel and only get 40L to be told it is what it is, no one would stand for that.

To be honest I wouldn't go near a Jag or a Mercedes, the build quality of those are so cheap. They might look good, but wait until you are doing electrical work on them and you will realise how cheap they actually are when you remove trim pieces.

This is a car forum, not a court of law. If you have concerns, raise a claim at court. Then you will know whether those who have bought the 160 remap share your concerns by joining you in the action (or not).

Yet in your profile you claim to own a BMW. That says it all IMO!

It isn't a BMW. Alpina was a standalone brand until 2022. If you are going to try and make a dig at least get your facts correct :-)

Nope, completely different company that had no ties to BMW. They bought the shells and the rest was in house Alpina. BMW only ever touched the bare shell. You’ve obviously never looked at a proper one, if you did you’d know the differences.

Shame you’ll never own a car that had half the numbers made of the 260, and the petrol one is even rarer

Now BMW own them so they won’t be the same as the old ones, the new ones are just a normal car with a bit of extra kit on and a few tweaks.
