Default Seized adjuster nut

Hi Robin.
I received your compensator this morning alng with the spare one thank you i must say you now at the poll postion for strecthed compensators 21mm and i see that the nut had been tightened down so much it had gripped its self fast to the shoulders of the thread on the front cable once this happens there is nowt you can do but either cut the cable at the back before fitting the modified compensator or as you have done here tried to undo the nut and the cable snaps.

I have had this happen to me several times now once at a meet and did not have a spare cable, i soon learnt a lesson from that and now carry up to three front cables just incase, a few pics below of your compensator and cable.

The last two photo's show why not to try and fit the compensator from under the car with the rubber gromit removed the heat shield is in the way.

PS thank you Ian & Jeff your compensators arrived this morning also one 15mm and the other 10mm stretch Cheers Arctic.

Steve the heat shields are only in the way on Petrol models!
Diesels just remove 3 of the 4 bolts on the rearward of the 2 cross member, swing out the way .
Remove oval grommet and manipulate the comp out.
Under half hour.........job done.
No need to remove interior bits!
