![]() 6 years on the ZT and one failed after the boot was split by a stone
![]() The price has gone up by £3 since I bought mine, the preparation was to unclip the boots and work a thumb of molygrease into the ball joint, and to use a pushbike cone spanner on the flats to prevent the boot being forced off when fitting. Under normal circumstances I would recommend Meyle HD as I got a set even cheaper than the D2P ones and they are much nicer if pricier ![]() Brian ![]() |

![]() Just buy a set from your local motor factors. Genuine or no does it really matter - NO.

![]() New droplinks arrived today from DMGRs (thanks!). Is the cutting of the threads on the top side necessary to allow a spanner over and off the nut when tightened? Or do people cut the the threads so the droplink itself fits?

![]() It's just to make easier access to fit the top nut.

I have a Unipart component to compare it with. The TRW is slightly shorter ( approximately 3mm) from centre of bottom rose joint to base of top rose joint stud. The spanner flats on the stud are much closer to the original fitment and using a standard spanner won't push the boot off. |

Thanks for this. I'd be interested to know two things; how wide are the spanner flats in millimetres please and is the larger diameter of the boot secured with a clip (the OEM wasn't, it was specially reinforced)? Many thanks, Simon
