Whilst that is all true, the green 'pea' is only an indication of the state of that one cell. It is pefectly possible for that one cell to be good and the rest dead, I have had that happen to me.

Batteries are nortoriously difficult to diagnose reliably.

Agreed Harry. That's why I put the batteries age after my comment.

New batteries can die early but not really very often.
