Just like Admin, it give you full access to completely b****x up the OS

TBH, I'm a little slow to direct anyone to a rooted ROM as it probably voids the warranty. There is a chance - however slight - that you could brick your unit, although there are no reports of any bricked Dynavins yet.

Rooted ROMS are readily available if you do a bit of Googling.

In any event, I have had a rooted Dynavin for several months now and I can honestly say that I have yet to find a real requirement for root. As previously mentioned, V6 Supercharger is my next mod and root is required for that.

So, even if the unit you have doesn't have final specs, could you give us some infos, like :
  • Android version : still 2.2 or 2.3 ? Does the voice command works ?
  • pdc / obc connection : works with our Mg/Rovers ?
  • DSP : only for smoothing the low-level gui or does it affects Android layer, too ?
  • Blutooth mic : does internal mic works for bluetooth ?
Thanks !

I will be giving a full report on here when I completed the testing process. I am working through some issues and would rather not get involved in discussions of what the unit can or can not do until I have finished.

I fixed the light diffusers around the knobs but I'm waiting on a DVD drive.
