Had a manic half hour earlier. Ging has a habit of getting stuff out of the freezer, parking it on the worktop to defrost. I texted her, what do you want to eat when you get home, thinking it was going to be one of the things she’d got out of the freezer. Replied about 40 minutes later after 6pm, nope, “I want adobo!”! Fine but the longer adobo cooks the better and she’d be home in two and a bit hours Dive down to the garage, get the pork out of the freezer, into the microwave on defrost while I prepared the “sauce” finely chopped garlic then diced the pork. Threw it all in the pot, “might” be ready when she gets home.

A view overlooking the bird table and garden
Torrential rain last night but clear skies this morning and everything is looking green.

Today’s forecast is 27C, the altitude here is 6,000 ft and 3 hours ahead of GMT, so acclimatising to everything, can’t complain.

How is everyone?

Cool

Morning everyone.

Dark and a frosty start to the day.

Waiting to be “stabbed” with yet another injection, my tummy is a totally different colour to the rest of me with the various colours of bruises.

Oh no, hope your mum is OK Mike.

Morning, bitter cold here and a very strong wind with the possibility of snow thrown in.

Thanks for that Phil, probably 27 Fahrenheit if you include the windchill here!

It’s actually -1C here , -7C with the windchill so my guesstimate of 27 Fahrenheit was well off. Actually 19 Fahrenheit!

Cool

Had a lengthy chat with Richard today. He told me all about his hospital experiences. Sounds like he really went through the mill to get where he is now.
He certainly sounds like his old self again. Hopefully I’ll be able to get to see him this year.
