Today I took the total waste of money xtrons unit out to try and find out why it suddenly can't find a gps signal, I couldn't find anything untoward so another piece of Chinese junk destined for the bin.
Where do you have the sensor mounted?

as the underbonnet pump was making strange noises and the engine wouldn’t start!

Did you let Debs drive it?

In the windscreen by the mirror where it's always been, an 88 mile trip and it still couldn't find one.
It joins the ever growing list of problems with it.

Oh ok ... When mine was mounted in that area it was always an issue if it would lock into the satellites or not. Once it was on the front of the dash right side up it has always taken less time to log on. Normally i leave the car stationary for a couple of mins before i start the journey and it locks onto enough to be useable.

Took th 75 CDTI for a trip 19.1 miles today. Set temp up on th screen. 4c was showing and then i started it. Drove nearly 10 miles before it got to 75c. It then stayed at 77 for quite a while but th heater did give off more heat at this time. This first 10 mils was mostly down bank with a cold head wind at 50 mph on a joule carriage way. As I climbed latter it got to 84. Then onto a A road were I followed traffic. On one hill it got to 91c then back to 84c. On th return trip a hour latter it soon got up to 84c and as th return trip is more up hill and less traffic it yo yo'd between 91c and 84... Soooo I didn't change th thermostat but noted th engine felt fluffy (running out of fuel) when coasting (barely touching th throttle) so is th in tank pump on th way out.... God nose.. .
