Adam,

I would suggest you contact Radioguy, who is selling the unit he is based in Canada, it speaks English and give straight answers, I am sure he will be able to answer any questions you have regarding the head unit

Is the idea that i am suppose to cut them out of the original iso block?

"Cut the red connector off on the radio end and connect the black wire to the blue/purple wire and the green wire to the blue/orange wire."
This part here could have been written in Chinese. when you are writing radio end are we talking "iso extention" that came with the radio, or are we still on the harness in the car?

Sorry if i look like a complete idiot when it comes to wiring. But i am. i really need this in with a tea spoon if i am going to get it right.

Anyone care to elaborate on this for me?

Ok, story goes on. I have managed to load my igo software over on a SD card, a little bit of fiddling around with the setup, and a challenge when it came to unzipping the maps to the folder, but i managed after some well chosen words.

Now the next thing is that i only get a quarter of the screen.
I have read the responses in here regarding this and i have checked my sys.txt file and i cant find anything wrong in it according to the answers that has been posted in here earlier.

I have pasted in the text from the file here and i hope someone can help me out with this.

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

[interface]
skin="ui_igo8"
resolution_dir="480_234"
vga=1

[rawdisplay]
class="landscape"

screen_x=480
screen_y=234

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

[timezone]
sync_os_timezone=0
reset_os_timezone=0

[map]
mapfontscale=200
inertia_on_map_move=1
popup_info=1

textured_poly=1
terrain_in_2d=0
3d_landmarks=1
3d_buildings=1
3d_buildings_distance=800
3d_dem=1

3d_tunnels=1

Mine says this:

[interface]
skin="ui_igo8"
resolution_dir="400_240"
vga=1
[rawdisplay]
class="landscape"
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

so i think you need to change the "Screen" parameters to x=800, y=480

Thank you, it helped to 98% it is pulled a little bit to much to the right. The screen size is good.

My next challenge now is that it only shows maps of Andorra..... A little bit long to drive there to be able to use the software....
I have checked the folder where the maps are stored and they are all there
I am getting a "little bit" tired of this setup problems. I was hoping that it was a plug and play thing but since the chinese didnt put in the sd card i have had to fiddle around more then i am confident with.

Janove,
Sorry I had to run out for a bit and wasn't here to quickly respond.
You can select your Maps as long as they are there. Of which I believe Norway is on the SD card. Again my apologies for their oversit. You got exactly the correct response from David Lawrence

I have been in the setup but the only maps i can see thru the unit is andorra. In explorer on the computer i can se them all.

There is one thougt here. There was 10 identical zip files in the map location where i downloaded. Your instructions was to unzip them al into the sd card.

The challenge here is that it was stated that there should be a 2gb card with the unit. If i try to put all the map files from the download on it is 10gb, and like i say, each file is identical when you unzip them. I am trying to ad the one that is marked numer 2 at the moment and i will see if that will make any difference
