![]() No do not use normal coolant, you have to use OAT coolant, you can get it cheap enough from your local xpart dealer.

![]() As Jason has posted you need to use OAT branded anti freeze. This is normally orangey red in colour.
Before you begin to replace your stat make sure you have : Stat housing ( obvious ) One bent pipe ( normally break ) One straight pipe ( sometimes break ) 2 O rings to put onto the straight pipe if you reuse the old one. 4 litres Anti freeze Oh yes and a spare couple of hours - best route is via removing the front bank inlet manifold |

![]() Thanks guys for your help on this one. I have an 'X' Rover mechanic doing this job for me this weekend. I contacted Rimmer Brothers a few weeks ago and they sent me all the parts required. IE Housing, straight pipe, bent pipe, seals and hose clips. I also ordered both sets of inlet manifold gaskets. As I guessed both manifolds would had to come off as I wanted to change the plugs as well. With the anti-freeze did I see that halfords may sell it ? I do have a main dealer Land Rover down the road and I guess they may sell it as I think the small L/R uses the KV6 ?. Again thanks. Rob. PS. Any idea where I can get a complete rear ashtray assembly beige in colour.
