Default Electrics help

Really trying hard to recommission one of my cars after a long Sorn and get it back on the road but it keeps throwing things at me !

New Condenser and Intercooler are clearly needed but the latest challenge is this – started car and the windscreen wipers came on BUT would not stop no matter what position the selector arm set at! Restarted car several times and same problem.
What is more , if I invoked the screen spray to stop the scraping wipes on the wind screen the engine stopped ! Again , repeated this several times to same effect.

I also have rapidly flashing indicators. At present the headlights are removed because I had to remove the slam panel earlier – which at least gave me the opportunity to repolish the headlights so now look brilliant. What is NOT brilliant are these new electrics problems. ANY thoughts are welcome !

Basically , this is a lovely looking White Gold 75 and I do want it on the road but these ‘challenges’ are getting me a bit down now.

All the best.

You have got water getting into the car that upsets the electrics, does the car have a sunroof?

Thumbs up Few hours later - Found it!

First , thanks to Dave Lincs response which got me looking for water under the bonnet - had been partially open overnight.

Second , in the process I came across the fault - Broken Earth wire.

There is an earthing point under the passenger headlight on top of chassis arm (to which the Slam Panel bolts) Rewiring this removed the 'never ending wipers / engine halt' problem.
Hopefully this thread it may just help someone else in the future with a similar fault.

This has encouraged me to check around the earth points on Dino to see if they are causing any of the weird things that's happening (intermittent central lock problem, odometer resetting after every switch off). Cheers mate
